Right, if you don’t need it then absolutely you shouldn’t buy one. There are absolutely better vehicles out there for the majority of people too.

Try going to the beach for most of the day and not bringing a ton of stuff. You need food, water, a tent because I don’t like skin cancer, chairs for the kids.

Gas prices have never been double of what they currently are. Even if they go up to $4 per gallon it will only cost me $900 per year extra with a full size truck. If I had to rent a truck every time I need one I would only be able to rent for about 9 days out of the year.

My wife has a wagon. We constantly struggle to fit us, two kids and all of our belongings in it when just doing things like going to the beach.

But most of the people are outside the vehicles. All you’re protecting is your front windshield by sacrificing your hood. Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense.

I’m guessing (and could be completely wrong) that the juice the winch takes means you need to keep the engine running. If you keep the engine running having the hood open will make sure the heat isn’t trapped there.

How does the E15 affect small engines? I know in my fourwheeler I try to avoid E10 at all but it’s difficult at best. I don’t think it’s really good for any small engines (mowers, pressure washers, etc) but not sure where I heard that from and if it’s true.
