Watched the whole season and loved it, visually stunning, etc. Wasn't as Game of Thrones-sequel as everyone in the comments is making it out to be; I appreciated that they applied a lot of the characters and plot lines from the other Oz books. What hurt it was that it was slow moving and they took too long to explain

First, this was such a great piece and I truly hope Ashley writes many more for AV Club. I've been dodging thinkpieces about Lemonade like bullets but I'm glad I read this one.

Please don't insult anuses that way, it's inappropriate!

*too late for you

If all you got from it was Beyonce "playing poor in a video" then it was already too late.

For those who haven't read those authors or listened to those singers, or who have but didn't "get" it, that's who I'm certain this article is for. American Horror Story: Blood & Butt Cracks

I felt like I was the only one who caught that

Had a few of those on Laserdisc; mine was Beauty and the Beast - I don't know what it is but every live action version of the Beast is so creepy to me. Terrible 80's makeup and shitloads of fog.

Just thinking about it creeps me the hell out.

You can never go back…..

YES. This was the only episode that actually scared me.

My grandmother knew no better - nothing but AiB or her Riverdance tape!

That plus Luke's parent's dying 5 minutes into the film. So terrifying.

And this was when I fell in love with Angelica Huston.

The Doldrums with the sinister, lazy snot-creatures did it for me, but the Terrible Trivium runs a close second.

No, the real disturbing part in Follow That Bird was the "tossed salad" scene. Or maybe I just knew too much at the age of five…
