So normally I would come on here and call conservatives a bunch of pejoratives, but I’ve had a number of social media interactions that make me think perhaps people legitimately don’t understand how economics and government budgets work. So this is going to be a rare, good-faith attempt from me to explain this stuff

There’s a gap that no one really seems to want to talk about; not just as it relates to auto production, but corporate America in general. We never talk about the possibility that just maybe these giant corporations don’t NEED to set record profits every single quarter for eternity.

The costs are such that automakers will do nothing but wait out the clock until someone less-idiotic is in the White House. It’ll be at most four more years, and their revenues aren’t such that it makes sense to even think about building new plants in the US. First, because the cost would likely never be recouped.

Scanning through the video, one thing he misses on a downside is NOx. Which being from the UK (based on accent), is understandable. In the UK, the sun angle is much less than in the US, so the impact of NOx is less important than in the southern areas of the US where the NOx combined with the sunlight going through

It’s cute anyone think Musk actually runs any of these companies. I’m sure he just drifts in, doesn’t really understand what anyone is doing, makes a bunch of ridiculous demands that hinders or reverses any progress anyone is actually making, and then walks out with an unearned feeling of having done a good job.

Trump is a such a dumb cunt.

This guy planned out every step, seemingly meticulously, then gunned down a well known CEO in the most surveilled city in the country, escaped in a way that left bullets with a message and a backpack full of Monopoly money, got out of the city successfully, but was found off a tip from a *McDonalds employee* and he

I buy that they want to return schools to segregation. But not racially segregated.

And going too fast as well.

“Still love the truck”

That’s the old switch. It was updated back around 2000, in order to be more user friendly.

Imagine you’re a Chinese manufacturer that really wants to expand their footprint in central and south america, when suddenly a bunch of gently used automobile manufacturing plants in Mexico go up for sale. Oh happy day!

I know this is a bit of snark, but I don’t think people value their health, range of motion, etc. enough. This guy is in his 70's, out cycling. He’s probably put a lot into his life staying healthy, making good choices, so that he could feel good in his old age and do the things he loves. And then someone careless and

I can just see dealers telling financially illiterate customers “take the higher interest rate (and longer loan term) so you’ll get a bigger tax benefit”

You’re all missing the point. It’s not “so easy a child could do it,” he’s laying the groundwork for his child labor initiatives...

Losing jobs due to technical advancements is a story as old as the industrial revolution. Look at this picture compared to the lead one and see how many workers lost their jobs from robots.

Illegal buses are getting sex changes in prison while they’re in doggy daycare school!

Trump appears to be concerned about, and thus in favor of, cheap overland bus transport, because he kept mentioning how upset he was that immigrants were eating Greyhounds.

It should. Automated vehicles should be following the rules of the road, not the bad habits drivers form throughout their lives as shit drivers.

Yes? 100% it does.
