I mean, it looks the same, and all the features are in the same place, but it’s definitely totally different!
When you think that 3 was developed on NES, it’s pretty amazing.
FFMQ was my first ever Final Fantasy and I will die on the hill defending it. It was a great intro to people who had never played an RPG before (me). Also you could jump! And how your weapons worked in the field was cool too.
The saddest thing is that it was the only Final Fantasy Europe got until VII.
I’m listening to the Mystic Quest soundtrack as we speak, and it still shreds.
One of my most embarrassing stories (that I for some reason have no problem retelling) involves mystic quest. I must have been 10 when I got it, probably for Christmas that year and a friend of mine ended up getting it later than I did. At some point got further than I did, I was so upset that I was stuck in the ice…
Viral - Good!
That point was probably when Seth MacFarlane relinquished control to focus on Family Guy or whatever crooner music project he was onto that week. Once it was in different hands, it got so much better.
Season 4 (+ a decent amount of season 3) through, say, season 7 are incredibly consistently hilarious. Once it started leaning really hard into the absurdity it became, as you say, magical.
It’s like I’ve been studying for this disaster my whole life.
Linda has good ideas, they just....take some time. And frequently a scenery change.
That crowd’s going to need a lot of corned beef coffee to sober up.
I get more invested in Bob’s potential failures than anyone should. It always bums me out a little bit when Bob comes out on the wrong end of things. The way both plots were trending it was looking like two big Ls for Bob again so it was nice to see Linda and Teddy’s trainwreck actually ended up paying off.
I’ve been doing that for years!
Stay indoors, you say? Avoid large gatherings, you say?
“Look, just buy the merch.”
Between that and the name of the burger special it was a banner day for puns on the show.
I had VHSes of the shorts, usually 3-4 around a theme (Chip & Dale, Sports, etc.). If my memory is correct they also used to have a short with some VHS movie release of older movies.
Maybe, but I want that Winnie the Pooh where he gets stuck in Rabbit’s hole. And the one where he covers himself in mud so the bees think he’s just a rain cloud and not a bear trying to steal their hunny.
