My wife and I have been running through 80s movies with our daughter. We were running thin on options and here’s Tremors, I guess. I mean, I love it, but I figured it was too of its time and slow-paced for her. Instead, she loved it. It’s her “bad day” movie that she asks to watch again with us every now and then.

Uh oh. HBOmax is making a series about Netflix.

I’ll never not star this when it shows up. This needs to be posted in any article about Liefeld in place of a picture of him.

They took Manuel’s papers and then put in the document showing payment from the Peruvians and the number of the hotel Nacho was hiding at, to lead them to him.

Maybe they’ll have to find someone “better” . . . than the individual of whom we are speaking!

But her breakout role was, of course, playing Estelle Costanza . . . painting a brilliantly clear picture of how Jason Alexander’s George Costanza could grow up to be the kind of man he was.”

Welp, the Nandi Bushell tribute made my room VERY dusty all of the sudden.

Re-watched it in the early days of quarantine a couple years ago and for the most part, yes. DeVito is hilarious. Turner and Douglas have fantastic chemistry. Great 80s score. Some expected problematic stuff for a movie almost 40 years old but nothing egregious.

“He was so sweet! He saw that I couldn’t move around very well so he offered to rub my feet for me.”

It really does add a whole new layer to watch them and see them through your kids’ eyes. I picked up on the direction and look of the movie, too. The orange glow in the carbon freeze chamber looks absolutely hellish.

Totally thought he was lying.

What a fantastic sendoff. Thank you Katie. I still remember the newswire you wrote about a cat you were trying to adopt and it was awesome. Best of luck.

They’re listed as participating on the GMGunion site.

Said destruction was apparently plotted for “Mafia,” a sixth-season episode that takes place during Pam’s honeymoon with the ever-smirking Jim.”

An unhappily married couple and their children are put to a harrowing test when everything in the world turns blue.

I see what you mean, but I just have never been impressed with dry-brining my turkeys at Thanksgiving. Wet brine for me, all the way.

This, exactly. Yes, TLJ had problems, but it also surprised me in a way no Star Wars movie has since 8 year old me sank back in my seat in bewildered defeat and confusion when the credits came up at the end of Empire Strikes Back. That alone puts it as my favorite of the sequel trilogy. It went new places.

I grew up in the “dinosaurs are giant reptiles” era so that part of me still reflexively cringed at all the shots of dinos frolicking in the snow.

I didn’t watch this or even SaTC but I just wanted to come in and say I’ve enjoyed your work over the years, Gwen, here and the Takeout and how you would always happily hop into comments with us. What’s happened to this formerly great site and its writers is vile.

See that’s how bad the View is I totally forgot they had Rosie O’Donnell on spewing her 9-11 Truther bullshit.
