At least he died doing what he loved, eating Hitler’s asshole.

If there’s anything I know about Gilbert Gottfried, it’s that he would want nothing more than to have us make tasteless jokes about his death less than a week afterwards. Afraid I can’t think of any right now, but RIP regardless.

“But, Doctor, I am Sleater-Kinney.”

Nice of them to point out that Tunde Adebimpe is in TV on the Radio, for a sec I though it was the other famous Tunde Adebimpe.

Imagine if Win turned out to be a world-class doctor/surgeon, while Will turned out to be a hotshot lawyer. Imagine you then get shot in the chest, just outside your house, and start to bleed out. A stranger finds you. “What should I do?” they ask. “Go inside...” you grunt. “Argh... Get... Win!” Except that, as you

-10 points for not mentioning trenchers.

Like Medrawt, the Targ royal history was the most boring part for me as well. But I decided to get up to speed before the new show and I do love the fact that, apart from a small handful of not-horrible Kings and Hands, the Targaryen dynasty has been a huge shit show for three centuries.

“Tyrion awoke shortly after dawn, had a bowel movement, and told the nubile serving girl (whose totally nude body glistened with morning dew) to bring him dark beer, blackened herring, and . . .” Hmm, “eel pie?” No, already did that one. “air-cured hagfish cakes . . .” No, that’s not it. “pickled cod smothered in mint

it was absolutely 100% his ending, even if it was just a general outline of how things would play out.

The events that ended the show were not the problem for most viewers. It was the careless lack of setting things up, the lack of connective tissue to make the big story beats feel logical and earned. It felt like someone reciting Cliff’s Notes that they read the other day and remember about 75% of.

Depends on what you mean. The major plot points? Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the same or mostly the same. The problem with the last 2+ seasons of the show wasn’t those major plot points; it was how they were executed. Dany conquering King’s Landing and ascending to the throne? Great! Her breaking bad and

“Telling him that you’re worried he’s going to drop dead before finishing some book you want to read is kind of mean”

Yeah, the policy of not putting a season up until the next one is airing has been a bit unfair under these circumstances.

Debra Messing sits wailing in the corner.

Their songwriting is so good. It’s on this level of “I don’t how they do it”. They make it sound so easy. It’s not even the kind of music I typically listen to. I was this rap/hip-hop listening kid in the late 80s and I just fell *hard* for Songs from the Big Chair when a friend passed it to me. Then I was paying

Great article and interview.

Of all the annoying traits displayed by progressives (Disclaimer: I am one) in their never-ending quest to shoot themselves in the foot, none are quite so annoying as these f**king word games.

The NFT thing a goddam travesty, but Snoop’s public indulging of his every niche enthusiasm and flight of fancy is fun and more benign than 98% of what most fifty-year-old men worth $150 million get up to.
