Good to know Mr. Peanutbutter and Todd’s investment eventually might turn out lucrative for them.

You’re not wrong. The most glaring thing to me about this show once it moved to VH1 were those horrible educational moments that were in literally every episode in season 9. One of the queens opens up about having a bad coming out story, or HIV, or eating disorders, cue the sad piano music. Call me cynical, but those…
You just inspired me to look up what he looks like now too. Yeah, he’s aging reeeeally well. Zaddy!
I would agree with you, but I’m not really going to argue with someone on how they self-identify. One of my best friends identifies as lesbian, but has had sexual relationships with men. When I asked her about it, she explained that her relationships with men are always casual, whereas when she pictures herself…
I mean, it’s understandable. A lot of the Extermination challenges cross over into Fear Factory territory, and they’re not my favorite part of the show myself. But the runways are almost universally amazing. I’m still obsessed with Vander Von Odd from season 1. She’s like a horror version of Violet Chachki.
Also, can we throw some more support behind Dragula as well? It may be budget as hell, but the queens on that show are incredibly talented. I know they’re at least in the World of Wonder stratosphere, but I would appreciate if they had a bit more budget to up the production of it. Anyone who would like a punky, horror…
But good for RPDR and good for Ru Paul. After a few middling seasons, I must say that season 10 has been the best season of this show since season 6, so if they can continue to spotlight talented queens, I welcome it all.
It really is wild to step back for a second and recognize that a drag queen competition is not only airing on a mainstream TV channel, but that it’s wildly popular as well. Babygay PaganPoet circa 2002 (the year I finally admitted to myself I was gay) would have never believed this.
I have to say, the sex scenes in that movie were incredibly erotic, too. I’m not sexually into women, but even I felt hot and bothered watching them.
Oh man, I hope I can find a Nita/Hernando-level ride-or-die bitch.
Haha, yeah, Glee taught me an early, important lesson about Murphy/Falchuk shows. No matter how strongly the show starts out, it will most likely peter out to an incoherent mess by the end.
I loved Looking as well. I never understood all the complaints about it being boring. Why can’t a story about gay friends just be about them looking for love, succeeding/failing at their jobs, etc. like so many stories are for heterosexual people?
I’ve always liked Trick with Christian Campbell (Neve Campbell’s brother) and a suuuuuper cute J.P. Pitoc playing a young musician wand a gogo dancer in a bar, and the two spend the whole night trying to find someplace to hook up in NYC. As gay romantic comedies go, it’s really charming.
My friend told me that Nintendo only considers characters that originated from video games for the Smash roster. Is that true?
I think a lot of the shade is good natured and not out of any genuine ill-will for the guy. When you get right down to it, at least in season 1, none of the Fab Five except for Bobby really did anything substantial. Even Tan, whose fashion advice usually boiled down to “button down wovens and pants/shorts that…
Antoni’s skill is looking adorable, okay? Although honestly, I’m more thirsty for Karamo and his satin bomber jackets.
Oh god, I haven’t even considered this. I reeeeally hope that storyline doesn’t go that way. Although considering Paris is Burning is obviously such a huge touchstone for this culture and in this same time period, I can’t say it wouldn’t be justified...
Miss Vangie...Miss Vangie...Miss...Vangie...
Yeah, I would recommend it. Yes, the show has quite a few flaws and the writing could be pretty messy at times. I find that it’s a show that often sacrifices logic for emotion. But overall it’s a fun, tense, and sexy sci-fi show filmed in beautiful locations with lovable characters.
Bless this beautiful mess of a show, I’m really going to miss it.
