Yeah, to be honest, I fast forwarded through many season 2 scenes, especially the ones about James fixing the car, Nadine’s high school cheerleader antics, Ben’s civil war delusions, etc. I suffered through those storylines once already, and they contributed nothing.

I just finished a complete rewatching of the original series, Fire Walk With Me, and The Return. There is still so much about it that’s confusing, but I do think it’s worth a second, full viewing as you notice many more connections, foreshadowing, callbacks, etc. Everything really does fit pretty well in that Lynchian…

I have to say, I’m very impressed with not only Bob’s Burgers tenacity, but consistent quality. I’ve noticed no drop in general quality of the writing or acting over the seasons, which is feat at 8 seasons.

Even more of the winners are POC. They’re both white-passing, but Violet Chachki is half-latina and Trixie Mattel is part Native American.

Tiago a Través del Tiempo from Jane the Virgin would be fun. I know some novelas out there are pretty ridiculous, but one about a time traveling hunk Forrest Gumping big events in history is too campy to not be amazing.

I hate to be cynical, but “openly gay actor + 1997 = limited opportunities as an actor” seems to be the most likely explanation to me.

I was also a fan, and Alba was my favorite character. I loved how Mickey brought out the wild side of this formerly timid housekeeper.

I really like both albums, as well as Geidi Primes. Halfaxa is the one I’ve listened to the least, I should revisit it.

It is pretty bizarre to see so much attention suddenly showered on Grimes. I mean, not the AV Club specifically, who gave Art Angels a much-deserved A- review, just the internet in general. I’m just over here waiting for the new album and listening to “Pynk” on repeat.

I like the episode descriptions for Baskets. They take the most random, brief, throwaway scene from the episode and use it as the episode description. “Christine and Martha listen to harp music at brunch.” “Chip learns how to transfer a call.” “Chip sees a homeless person in a library.”

I had a pretty impressive collection of Goosebumps novels, at least 40 or so of them from the original series. I liked how all of the books looked all lined up together, and I guess my parents were just happy that I was reading, so they indulged me.

Was she hosting a viewing party or something? I’m curious if she made any commentary during the episode, especially the end or Untucked.
