“He’s right, it is a stupid question.”

Louise’s “It’s very good ham, father” was the laugh of the night for me. Such a low key line delivered perfectly by actual wizard Kristen Schaal.

Hopefully they don’t straight wash it. Carlos, not Carla!

Really, the only new games this year that I played were Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Sonic Mania, and A Hat in Time. Of the bunch, I must admit, I had the most fun with Sonic Mania (although all of the other games are really great as well)

Pretty good comparison, if you ask me. Most of the time, I hear people compare it to The Twilight Zone, but given the technology/sci-fi bend, The Outer Limits is probably the more analogous show.

Yeah, Playtest is probably the only episode of the whole series I’d call bad. It’s frustrating because some of the themes around the fringes, with the main character’s parents, his inability and unwillingness to face negative feelings and conversations, etc., those are interesting, human topics that the main part of

Thanks! I actually just watched Playtest the other night with my roommate, I didn’t even recognize her from the earlier episode.

Those actors were in season 2 of Fargo? All I remember is Kirsten Dunst and Patrick Wilson’s butt in merlot police trousers.

Yeah, certainly not an uplifting show, is it? May be a bit much for someone suffering with health problems. :(

It’s an anthology show, each episode is a self-contained story, usually about technology and the way humanity abuses it and each other. The quality, of course, depends on the episode, but they’re usually good to amazing with only one or two episodes I would qualify as mediocre or bad.

Finally, a release date! I’m off until January 4 as well, so this is perfect.

I’m with Clayton (although I happen to think Vespertine IS Bjork’s best album, even over Homogenic). The whole album is practically the soundtrack to wintry landscapes. In Colorado, when it’s snowy in the middle of winter, if you wake up early enough, the sky is a deep purple and it’s absolutely quiet and still

Baritones tend to make great counter tenors, so that kind of makes sense. Still, this song is not for me. :(

As for my favorite? “Mele Kalikimaka” always makes me smile, mainly since I love close-harmony singing and, thus, the Andrews Sisters.

I hate “O Holy Night.” Every single sappy, oversung, overwrought version of it. And there seem to be millions.

M. Night Shyamalan’s The Brining.

Oooh, I love that DVD, especially the performance of “Hyperballad” with a full live orchestra. *drool*

I’m excited to hear this. I was a bit disappointed with “The Gate.” Not that it’s bad or anything, it just sounded too similar to Vulnicura and maybe a little half-baked? But “Blissing Me” was much more satisfying, and this review is making me even more excited to hear the full album.

Was feeling kind of jealous of all the Mario Odyssey love around these parts. Since I’m not planning on getting a Switch until sometime next year, I decided to go ahead and download A Hat in Time to scratch my 3D platforming collect-athon itch. I haven’t even started it yet (bought it last night and left it on to

I dunno, it kind of works for me. The moment you see her in her wedding dress in that blonde wig, it was a “ding!” moment for me. Not terribly hard to see coming, but then it was subverted again once Maria turns down the orange blazer. Dunno if this show will get a 3rd season, but if not, seasons 1 and 2 work pretty
