So the dude I had been fooling around with entered a monogamous relationship with another guy. Despite being a little bummed at first, I'm actually really cool with it. We had our sailor fun together, but he is quite a bit younger than I am and has some personal work to do, so I'll just appreciate it for what it was.

I just wanna chime in and say that this is such a great answer and I wish more people had your confidence.

Years ago, I played through all of the main series and the X series. What really struck me is how the difficulty of the series drops off exponentially after MM2. MM2, for me, was the hardest one to get through. MM3 still offers a decent challenge, but they just get easier and easier after that (at least until MM9,

Well, the Al Bhed aren't sending us their doctors and scientists…they're sending us their thieves, Machina operators, and airship pilots.

And I'm artistic director.

Super Puzzle Fighter? It'll be like any of the other martial arts events, but you're only allowed to attack your opponent when your partner solves a brain teaser. (The block puzzle of the actual game is probably too hard to work out in real life and real time)

This is an easy one for me, it definitely has to be Silent Hill's fog. An incredibly graceful and fitting atmosphere choice covering up limitations of the Playstation's hardware. Perfecto!

I'm firmly in camp 2D along with you, but I will say the slower startup movement of 3D games do give it a more graceful, more dancelike flow. Watching someone button mash in Tekken is more impressive than watching someone button mash in Street Fighter.

Maybe both? I'm sleep deprived and grumpy right now, so I'm leaning towards stupid. I'll revisit later this evening after I have a nap and get stoned.

Yeah, I'm scoring pretty consistently in C+ to B+ range, so trying to S rank things is surely gonna be a challenge…

Can we talk about the stupid character names for this game?

Thank goodness for Let's Playlists! I don't score a Keyboard Genius nod as often as I used to (Soupy must have taken a liking to me), but I can always count on my video game music!

Oooooh, freshly pressed linen.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say I've never actually played Terranigma. Even though I'm a huge fan of both Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia.

Have fun with Earthbound. The gameplay is pretty old school (although it does have a nice mechanic that helps you avoid wasting time on weak enemies), but the characters and setting are so wacky that you're gonna have a great time with it.

You're the second person here to mention AM2R. Was a new version just released or something?

Did you write all this? This is fantastic.

I just played Minish Cap a couple of months ago for the first time. The sprites are delightful. Between this game and Mother 3, I guess I tend to be pretty impressed with Game Boy Advance era sprites in general.

I guess I hadn't noticed the linear level thing. I'll probably be replaying the first game again when I finish (trying to piece together the story is kind of confusing), so I'll see if I notice the difference.

I'm nearing the end of Hotline Miami 2. Just started Act 5 last night. I seem to remember a lot of people criticizing it at the time of its release for changing the gameplay formula a bit too much, i.e. giving us different characters with different playstyles. I have to say, though, I'm really enjoying that each
