It ended last night but it got no bids so it may go up again. It's starting bid was $15k on Ebay and the sellers' name was gaghia. Good luck finding it, it's in Cumming, Georgia, so it may be on Craigslist there ( don't know what cities are close to there, last time I was in Georgia I was 6 years old).

Thank you Jalopnik!!!

I would go with a Pacer wagon- partially because I own one, but also because it's the only U.S. Made wagon I can think of that has a ride like a Cadillac, deep leather seats that don't get hot easily, is easy to park, and gets 20 mpg on a good day. Plus, there's the added bonus of having a conversation with some

Not to troll, as this is a statement and not a question, but all this talk of Lincoln has drawn me to it. I think what Lincoln needs is a wagon based off of the new Mustang platform to compete with the CTS-V. The fact that it would be a wagon would differentiate from Ford's offerings, and I feel like Lincoln moved too

The reason that convertibles are dying is because they are now a mute point. Almost every kind of car can be had with some form of sunroof today, which sort of makes up for the lack of a drop top. While shopping for a Mustang last year, I ran across an 04 silver 'vert that tempted me. Here's why I didn't buy it-

I take my earlier comment back- this is the one I want to build. Not sure how easy it's going to be to find 8 a Olds Starfire headlights, though.

I desperately want to convert a 305/4 speed Monza into one of these now, just to see how many people would buy the bologna.

Due to your avatar, that comment immediately made me think of this.

OK, Mustangs definetly deserve to be mentioned, but ONLY GT Mustangs. I have an 06 Mustang Deluxe Pony Package V6 that I've upgraded with cold air and a performance muffler, and I get so sick of the ding dongs in completely stock 88-93 GTs telling me what a loser I am and how much faster their car is than my "wimpy"

I don't own one, but from what I understand saying "why do you like Crown Vic's" to a Panther fanboy is kind of like questioning why a tri-five chevy fan of the early 70s would have a comparatively slow and inefficient Bel Air over a later model Chevelle or Impala. The Panther is a cruiser- it's not fast, but that's

I agree that AMC was a great company and that RWD is a virtue and not a fault in the modern enthusiasts' eyes. The issue was, the public was sold on that misinformation that FWD was "better", and so AMC had sort of an uphill battle to fight.

the issue with that theory was that AMC was essentially in the gave by 1980. They had no money, as in literally none, to design new cars. The Matador was too big to sell in numbers by that time, the Hornet and Gremlin had went from successful models to lessons in ancient history, and the Pacer, though a great piece of

This is why we can't have autonomous cars right now- as cool as much of the public might think it is when it's presented in science fiction format, when the rubber hits the road everyone would get creeped out by unanswered questions like this one, and the automated car.program would be an unmitigated failure. I think

Just out of curiosity, have you ever swapped an aftermarket dual exhaust manifold onto a 258? That's one of the mods I plan to do on my Pacer, and I'm always searching out new expertise, as it doesn't seem that too many people have done it before. They do, however, make a kit to switch the 258 to duals.

I own a 79 wagon, and I thought this exact same thing back when I first bought it. But 4 years later it hasn't been too bad on normal maintenance and "old car" stuff.

What are you asking?

I have a 79 Pacer wagon as we speak, and to this day I've never had anyone say a bad thing about it, aside from my mother and myself on the day that the thermostat went out and it overheated on us. I even made believers out of a couple of kids at my high school who thought they were ugly until they saw mine. I ave

You bet your bottom dollar it would be...

I think this could make a great QOTD with a little tweak..."best road trip car for less than $1500"

Ahem... We all know the real answer to this question. If the mode of transport dosen't have faux wood on its sides, it isn't a real road trip.
