The thing about 3) is, I imagine it’s less applicable to situations in which the conflict and the suffering is ongoing and has yet to be stopped. Channeling your anger to fight an ongoing threat is very different from revenge on the survivors after the threat is over.

What some of these comments are ignoring is that plenty of people know NOW, because now we have an internet that thrives on making sure we know the most controversial imaginable thing about anything and anyone, and by god if that doesn’t exist we’ll find something to blow up.

Sure, we had an internet in 1999 but good

Until now the only thing I knew about this movie is that it inspired the porn title Wetness For the Prosecution.

I must be missing something, because otherwise it seems like there’s a loose thread here.

I mean, it’s nice to see Henry Winkler show up and all, and he’s an incredibly talented and funny guy to this day, and I could see how he’d make an impression on set, but honestly, he has almost nothing to do here, and even the stuff you mention is about 60 seconds of the show at most. I was expecting something more

There’s one reason I *will* go back and watch The Irishman again.

It’s not for everyone. It either speaks to you or it doesn’t. I don’t find many people who aren’t on one side of that fence or the other. It was ever thus.

Interaction design of game play hit a wall decades ago. That’s a huge part of the problem. No matter how much better the graphics get, you’re still playing essentially the same FPS, the same mapped out turn based game, the same puzzle solver, the same “open universe”, whether that’s Miami or some kingdom or outer

More likely somebody trying to sell you some bullsheeit.

Believe it or not, I think that’s what Amazon kinda does. This is why it’s fighting a separate HBO MAX app for people who subscribed to their service: as best I can understand it, they basically want to force people to watch HBO content through Amazon Prime.

“No, but I can imagine some people who have little knowledge of the topic hearing, from that bit, that Cats sucked because of its visual effects, and that being their sole takeaway.”

Looks like they fixed it. :)

...or you can just use a Q-tip.

I’m fascinated that Joker would be on the 25 worst list and Climax would be on the 25 best.

I wonder, did you like Hateful Eight? Because so far, literally everyone I’ve talked to that hated OUATIH loved Hateful Eight and vice versa. And for the exact same reasons. It’s so weird.

Dear Lord! Climax? Sure, the dance number was great but the acid trip stuff was so hokey and cliche, it might as well have come from a “this is your brain on drugs” ad. He apparently had his actors improvise and gave them direction like “no, you should be screaming more.” Easily the worst thing he ever did.

You make an interesting point. Ozymandias tried to kill him once and his response was basically, “who do you think you’re dealing with?” There were a few choices like that, designed to expedite plot: his inability to anticipate something as simple as a teleportation death ray because “that’s what happens” in a

I initially felt the same, though I did have a moment or two of, is this really smart of her to do this dance? But she’s an improv specialist and probably doesn’t have much time to screen or filter, plus of course feeling the social pressure of upstaging Moms Mabley in the order is probably not helping her judgment.

Sure, maybe. It just changes the equation a little when you know they explicitly discussed this topic in advance to reach an agreement. The Root doesn’t seem to address that in the article; instead it seems to focus exclusively on what he didn’t wish to discuss. So I have to take the video at face value about that.

“the ideology?” This movie isn’t touting any ideology.
