The 8 speed is not great from a performance perspective. It is designed for fuel economy with a very short 1st gear.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the 6 speed when properly tuned. I have it in my Polestar and it is great. Polestar changed the programming on it. I definitely prefer it over the new 8 Speed.
I’m sure an owner of a P1 doesn’t really care what “most people” think. They get it and that is probably all that matters to them.
I’m pretty sure the plate is a reference to the color of the car. It is not Pumpkin but P1mpkin.
I think there was an issue with the shops or whatever is at the front not wanting the space taken. He also thought he was going to get more space in the back but that never happened. I haven’t gone the past couple of months. I go to all of the other shows in the area where I can see the same quality cars and show my…
Yup, back in March.
You mean the orange that is closer to this...
I think you are going to have to settle for some pictures...
Yes, you are correct. The Aston Martin Wings are clearly there.
We don’t get that rain stuff. Another fun week at Canepa...
The key is read the fine print. How long is it 0% interest. Is there an early repayment penalty. Are you able to provide the documentation they are asking for? Do you understand investments enough to actually make money with the cash you plan to use for your car?
I get your point but beyond the Can Am cars, this era had the most beautiful cars ever produced. Imagine a world without these...
Good idea but they missed the mark. The subpar interior is what got me to leave Subaru. The seats were not the issue. I actually liked the seats in my Legacy GT. The issue is the dash and door panels are made of the cheapest plastics found in just about any car. The fact that there was no way to upgrade those was why…
Are you serious? Please tell me you are joking with this one. You can’t seriously be trying to knock it for having the same front doors as every single other car ever made. Please tell me that’s not what you are doing. I also hope you are not naive enough to think that Tesla was implying that someone would park in a…
The Tesla history is a very iffy one with many twists. It really comes down to when you count the starting of the company. I don’t know how familiar you are with the history but some messed up stuff went on with the original founder getting pushed out then suing so a bunch of dates are not so solid. The important date…
Umm, no. Tesla was started in 2006. I worked there for 4 years starting in 2009. Facebook was founded in 2004 by the way. You also seem to be forgetting that Fiat Chrsyler had an IPO just 2 years ago. They need more cash so are about to IPO FERRARI in the next few days! GM, formerly the world’s largest automaker just…
Other companies are not startups with one product out. You are trying to compare Tesla to companies with 50-100 years of history. Tesla is in a stable position with their cash on hand but they also need to be smart and not make any stupid decisions. The cash raise was one way to mitigate any possible issues.
Not sure why you are posting this after my posting explaining the reason for the cash raise. It was done because market conditions were good, so it made sense to raise capital as a risk reduction measure. It had zero to do with a need, which is what you are implying. Other companies would love to have this…
Please tell me where he said that because this is his quote “Musk said this week Tesla expects to have $1 billion in cash over the next year, and told analysts “there may be some value” in raising capital “as a risk reduction measure.”.
Boy you are clueless! You just believe anything dumb journalists write. This journalist doesn’t understand basic Accounting by their premise that Tesla loses money on each car made. Tesla had over a $1.1B in Cash at the end of Q2. Due to good market conditions, they decided to raise more money in August and raised…
