Yours did not have the Carbon option

Back in 2008 and up until last year Volvo had something called DRIVe, which was nothing more than an eco package. It was sometimes visual enhancements, other times ECU changes. This is confusing because last year Volvo introduced their brand new powertrain which is a dual charged (Turbo and Supercharged) 2.0 liter, 4

Doug, First off I am a huge fan of your writing. Your style reminds me of one of my all time favorites, Ezra Dyer. You both have a unique ability to combine education with entertainment within your writing that few else can match. Now, it kind of pains me to completely disagree with your summary of today’s article.

Thanks!

No, I don’t. The Drive-E drivetrain is a 2.o 4 cylinder that debuted last year. The thing you linked to was similar to an Eco label the used.

There are luckily exceptions to this rule. I recently was able to purchase 1 of 80 Volvo V60 Polestars brought to to the US for MSRP. In fact the all sold for MSRP. This is how things should work. Manufacturers should step in and stop these greedy dealers from gouging the consumer who would be better off buying

Manual and Dual Clutch coming. Unfortunately not until 2018.

The author is very misinformed about Volvo. He also thinks the Drive-E debuted in the XC90 that just came out despite it being around since last year.

The Polestars will outperform an S4. They have more power and a better suspension. They are slotted in between the S4 and the RS4. This idiot Saracen is just a hater.

You continue to speak nonsense. The V60 is both faster than an S4 in a straight line and better in turns. It’s performance is in between the S4 and the RS4. You know nothing about this car but continue to talk smack.

Check your facts. Drive-E has been around for quite a while now, it did not debut in the XC90. The S60/V60 in the US has had it since last year.

As someone who owns one and has driven both, this is so far from true it is not even funny. The difference in midrange torque is night and day. And good luck getting and M3 for $62k.

V60 Polestar. Over 4,000lbs and suprises me everday at how agile it is

Saw one last week. The car has great details.

Outside of the exhaust note, sounds like driving a Tesla Roadster.

This is one of the most short sighted statements someone can make. They have immense interest in Model III. Do you have any idea what it takes to bring a car like that to market? Tesla is very careful about not bringing a product to market until it is ready. This is why Model S did so well on its launch. Everyone can

It started in the 70’s when the big 3 realized how much money was being made in Texas on trucks. They decided they wanted to open their own dealerships to get a bigger piece of the pie. What they weren’t expecting was that NADA was the largest lobbyist in the state. NADA offices also happened to be across the street

In photos you miss the piss poor build quality. Fenders don’t line up and all fine details are just missed during production on these cars. These are best viewed from far far away.

After years working for Tesla I was firmly convinced that Direct Sales was the way to go and then I went and bought a special edition Volvo and it was firmly confirmed all over again. Every dealer I dealt with was uninformed. No matter what dealer I dealt with, I was getting the same price, so there was no advantage

"As much as you want to shit on the Texas Automotive Dealer Association they are looking out for themselves just like Elon looks out for himself"
