@initZero: Oh. Good point, that. It's probably unlikely that the cow I plan to eat tomorrow is thinking, "Well, I sure hope I don't get eaten after I d..."

@LPscuderiaSV: I hope you mean the GTO owners. If you mean the magazine owners, why? They specifically excluded the most logical class of car to base the custom job on, refused to offer any incentive to do the project beyond a couple of photos and a few paragraphs of text, and then offered a backhanded apology and

@nataku8_e30: Not so much. The Fiero is a 2-seater, while the GTO has always been a 2+2. Add to that the fact that the Fiero's short wheelbase mid-engine layout is a $%^& to maintain due to engine access issues.

Speaking here as a former public relations specialist, Kevin and Chris, here are the problems with your actions and responses:

@initZero: And what happens when we stop eating animals? Will we have a People for the Ethical Treatment of Agriculture? Will we have t-shirts that simulate getting harvested?

@JackTrade: I never found myself liking the thought of being anywhere near something that large called a Probe.

@NewCarSmell...in my pants: Ah, yes, Picard's mid-life crisis vehicle. Wait, would that make Worf his wingman...or his blonde?

@Rattleface Blouses: The worst concept-to-production cars, maybe, but for sheer production godawfulness, I still have to go with the late and unlamented Zastava, followed by the late and unlamented British Leyland. In current production...hm. Maybe Tata? I haven't driven or ridden in a Tata (sounds dirty), but I

@eatadonut: You may be surprised to know that Florida's self-defense laws include a "stand your ground" provision. If you feel your life is in danger, you fire.

@SgtBeavis: File Transfer Protocol? ;)

@shinjukuDLJ: "A police officer afraid of the truth is no police officer."

@sirbasilfawlty: Maybe he hasn't, but I have, and I agree with Honor that if someone pulls a gun on me and doesn't immediately identify himself as a law enforcement officer, then he is a Threat.

@Honor de Balsak: Those tickets wouldn't do him much good; everyone knows policemen no longer have balls.

@sirbasilfawlty: So the weapon was pointed away. Who cares? You NEVER draw a weapon unless you intend to use it.

@HortonHearsAHoon: I first went over a pair of handlebars when I was three (landed on my thumbs; still have the scars on my first knuckles to this day) so I'm with you.

@Tom: This varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but most current rationales simplify the criteria for use of lethal force down to two phases:

@Tiberiuswise: Sorry, but he looked to me like a thug, not a cop. If you start wagging a pistol around like that, you'd better have a very visible badge or other law enforcement ID, or I'm going to treat you like a crook. I mean, I may still put my hands up, because you do have a gun, but still.

Outstanding ruling, eloquently expressed.
