The studios can go pack sand.

@MarcusMaximus: If you're being watched, the idea that you have to watch what you say is implied. I didn't say you implied it. And yes, it is an issue of liberties or freedoms. I don't want my emails between my wife and me snooped over, for instance, and I should have the right not to have to worry about that.

I know it wrecks the whole "Gloria Gaynor" joke, but Isuzu still produces thousands of cars and trucks (and heavy trucks) every year, just not for the U.S. market.

@Theologica: That always bugged me. If the device were truly universal, why would the code differences matter? I always assumed "universal" decryption meant the ability to decode anything in any code.

@MarcusMaximus: First, I live in the state of Florida, where privacy is guaranteed in Article I, Section 23 of the state's Constitution.

Satellites of Love.

Great. Now if you stare at it just long enough at the right angle with your eyes crossed just so, someone will come along and pick your pocket while you're distracted.

@ThisDudeRufus: Paging Welcome ta Earf... Welcome ta Earf, please pick up the green courtesy phone...

@Therru: Given how well that approach has worked in all the alien attack movies ever made, I think having someone else do it is a good idea.

@SBP1: And it sure is a customer convenience. You know, as opposed to just having the disc already there when you need it.

@T. L. Morgendorffer: True...but we'll always have fond mammaries...errr, memories. Memories.

@pauljones: You said it all perfectly. Nobody was in the right in this situation.

@afrostar: Not excusing the running, but that's NONVIOLENTLY resisting arrest. Also, maybe the laws are different in your jurisdiction, but in mine, punitive action by law enforcement occurs AFTER conviction, meaning a summary beatdown is not called for.

@John_Hazard: No shame in that. Of course, it's not like I have a shot in Hell either. :)

@mipakr: Infinite ammo code? Remember, if the web fluid is biologically produced, it has to come from somewhere.

@John_Hazard: So what you're saying is that Michael Shanks Lexa Doig?

@Dorisaurus: I'd say my sense of self worth is not AS tied to how I look as it is for some people. I still feel insecure because while I have the mindset of James T. Kirk, I have the body of Buddy Hackett. (There's a combo for ya. :) )

@SilentShout: I would pay to see this! Christina Hendricks has proven she can play just about any role with aplomb, and having her play straight woman to a guy as funny as Pegg would be extremely watchable.
