Even as a progressive, I think this bill is too long, too complicated, and contains too many ways for the insurance companies to weasel out. However, here's what I do like, based on what I understand of the bill:

@Mister Eee: Would if I could. Unfortunately, I'm not in power at the moment.

@Jason: In other words, the analysis (an opinion) is from a former CBO director who is not required to consider a thing. FAIL.

@Hugh Brown: Guess we'd better get started making sure everyone gets weapons, then, since a strict interpretation of the Second Amendment surely means we're all supposed to have them if we want them.

@Jason: Ah, so in your view, all wars are fought for exactly the same reasons. Please don't join the military in any capacity. Your thinking would get someone killed.

@Unionhawk: "We" in this case obviously means "those who can afford it."

So essentially, transportation appliances are cheaper to insure than exciting vehicles. Good to know. For what it's worth, I've got a fading 1997 Nissan Sentra and a well-driving 2001 Saturn SL2 that I'm insuring fully (PIP, liability, collision/comprehensive/theft) for only slightly more than #20 on this list.
