I would dip my toe in the 6 series pool for this.  I would regret it but I would do it.  NP for now, check back in 12 months to see if I’ve sold my house to pay for repairs yet.

I took a wrecked STI and transferred everything over to an 03 WRX. The cluster and all the wiring harnesses included. It was a major undertaking but when I was done, the WRX became a real STI. Because they were both Imprezas it swapped over pretty easily. It would be an interesting project to try to swap everything

Twelve million dollars. They can only use each one for a single take because the sheer amount of testosterone makes them sprout their own chest hair.

Intersting thoughts.  I was thinking of running the gauges  out of the car that the engine came out of but 2 ECUs might be easier than modifying the dash to make it all fit and trying to make it look factory.  I will have to look into that.

It sounds like a fun project. Many projects like that, you end up running 2 ECU’s. One to run the engine and the other to run the cluster and body computers. I don’t know if the ‘05's used Canbus or something older. I’m wondering if the canbus dialect the modern ECU’s use can still drive the gauge clusters on the

Only considering it because I already have access to the engine and trans.  I think this would be one of the coolest things to put it in.

Price no object, that’s a decent idea. For a frugal person like myself, I’d probably drop in a 3.5 liter J series V6. They can be had with 6 speeds too, are really cheap and bullet proof.

I love those wagons. They get shit mileage by todays standards, but they would run forever!

NP for the best TSX body style (except the wagon of similar vintage of course) with 3 pedals.

What exactly are you rebuilding?

Great commercial!  100% leaked on purpose, they will get TONS of coverage for that.

Jesus Christ, 1000 miles is tough on my body in a car.

Congrats on making me want to get any bike other than the one you have.  #badcompany

“Feel” ain’t good enough anymore, Robb.

There are about as perfect looking as the 1999-2000 Civic coupes.  Automotive perfection

These Camrys (Camries?) are some of the best looking Toyota cars of the 90s, and the best looking Camrys period.

Before someone comes in talking about the Supra, the MKIII Supra wasn’t great looking, and the MKIV was awkwardly proportioned with that crazy long hood and tall rear deck.

I can’t wait to see this...I hope it ends up on Netflix. I’m not going to reread the tweets because I want to experience that complex stew of bafflement, hilarity, amazement and general “yass bitch” emotions all over again.

They’re building another, different plant.

Get massive tax rebates and build a new plant of course. New plants are easier to automate as well.

Close - they’re using it to dump garbage mail delivered by trucks.
