I think he's talking about just this season, which looks noticeably cheaper all around. But yeah, Seasons 5 & 6 looked wonderful. Last season seemed okay, but not nearly as lavish. This season looks like a sitcom. Especially that YouTube video opening…
Re-watching Season One, random scene just made me laugh:
Good point about about Cr-…Criss? Cryss? (I seem to remember it being spelled weird) As for Carol, though, I never got "macho" from him. I got that he was as neurotic and as opinionated as Liz is, which is what they used to break them up. But he was as close to "Astronaut Mike Dexter" as any of her boyfriends. I kind…
J.D. Lutz = John Lutz? ;p
Good point! But hey, business is business and if Lorne needs you to do some 30 Rock press while NBC tries to pretend Jimmy Fallon is worthy of the Tonight Show, I don't see her turning it down. But it's probably just me reading into their partnership on SNL News segements and then their total absence of working…
I'm liking that post just because you threw the word "probably" in there! LMAO!!!! ;)
And thus, an iconic comedy was born! And without him…or some modern equivalent….it dies. ;). Bill Murray is Ghostbusters for me. Well, I love Ramis too. Ackroyd was great but definitely not the glue. Same with Hudson. Personally, I think it wouldn't be as iconic with Belushi. Respect for the dead, but I always found…
The problem with this is, Ghostbusters unto itself is a one-shot, dated concept from the 80's. Cast anyone else in there besides Bill Murray, and you lose 90% of its original charm and purpose. The idea doesn't merit continuing. Being "slimed" just wouldn't be funny anymore. Maybe they could surprise me and modernize…
I think there's some truth to that.
30 Rock > Seinfeld ;p
"Rodney! Don't make me come over there and beat you with my boom-booms!"
"I've had the cheesy blasters for two days…"
…weird. Am I crazy or is some auto-function deleting posts in this conversation?
…am I crazy or is half of our conversation missing? I seem remember writing a post discussing how I believed NBC wouldn't allow "niggah" outloud in fear of random criticism by viewers who took it out of context, but on the same note allowed Rachel to say "fag-a-tron" because they weren't outright saying "faggot". I…
Agreed. It felt very awkward that she's suddenly met and dating some random guy the audience didn't meet. I actually wondered why they didn't just let her ride off into the sunset with Carol/Matt Damon. For me, he was definitely her soul mate. Marsden is cool and I don't hate Cryss. But he was just……there. Never felt…
I think what you are seeing is a "reduced budget". The entire show looks far cheaper than it used to, especially the console room, opening sequence, and CGI. That's probably what you are picking up on.
"The Moroccan national soccer team is the lion. Tangiers is in Morocco. So yeah, I guess I'm the idiot."
VERY agreed. Karen is a beautiful woman, absolutely no doubt (look up her appearance on CONAN on YouTube).
Uh-oh…here comes the Funcooker…
