I imagine Rachel's character could have never said just straight up "faggot", though. It's prob the network worried that someone would walk through a room while it's on, hear either word out of context, and then go media-complaint-ballistic like when Jenna says she "hates the troops". Why risk bad publicity on a brand

I don't know. I prefer the deeper balance of the first three years to the Jack/Liz/Jenna focus of later seasons. I love the variety of supporting actors who are also writers on the show PLAYING writers on the show.

I am soooo glad someone else sees the casting comparison of the time, when the show was supposed to reflect the semi-autobiographical time of Tina Fey's SNL job. Lonny Ross/Josh = Jimmy Fallon. Toofer = Donald Glover/writer/Troy on Community. Frank = Horatio Sanz (?). Jack Donaghy = Lorne Michaels, Jenna = a

I always felt like it was an NBC/Network thing. If you notice, 99% of all NBC comedies used to hang on "will they/won't they Rachel and Ross" or "baby-crazy" female characters. It seemed to be pervasive in many shows at the time. Look at the weird pregnancy storyline in STUDIO 60, which was out about the same time.

"I SAY 'SUBWAY' YOU SAY 'HERO'! SUB-WAY….!"

I always felt she was just one of those women who have lived with body issues compared to modern female standards and thus had developed an almost asexual persona. And think about who she had done it with (Dennis, the girl at camp she kissed that drowned, etc.) It makes sense even before the poster storyline in

Really? I'm not since they were in a scene that was about people who say offensive things. On the other hand, I'm surprised they DIDN'T air Tracy or Toofer saying "niggah". The joke works with the vacuum-over, but at the same time given the subject of the episode and what they were talking about, I'm surprised they

It's her face. Billie Piper has a gorgeous, expressive face working for her. I actually thought she was prettier before she changed her teeth. But I agree, she's probably the most aesthetically pleasing companion of the modern era. I'll still take Freema and Alex over Karen and Jenna any and every day though. That's

Holy crap! I just read that Sue from the writers room and Lutz are married in real life! Cool!

While it doesn't really bother me that much, I agree in I think it's the way it is presented versus the intent. Four would deliver such lines like "You're a beautiful woman probably…" and it was his charm, and smile, and superb wit that sold the tone. Because Twelve is so far little more than an extension of One and

LOL! Yeah, that's always been the rule of law on the show ever since the beginning. They're called Time Lords because they are the only ones who can affect events on a larger historical scale while maintaining the internal consistency of the universe and its timeline.

Symptomatic of his over-style. Moffat over-sells everything in his scripts. Foreshadowing, "witty" banter, clever-clever, etc.

I would award the Hugo for that one…

Really? I must be the only straight male on the planet that only finds her "cute", if that. Give me Alex Kingston, Mary Tamm, or Freema Agyeman any day over her.

Doctors 1-8 simply enjoyed their Companions as friends, traveling partners, and hitchhikers. After the Time War, he seems to have become very needy and…sometimes…seemingly horny… lol ;)

"Living room….dining room…..arsenal."

I don't agree. The plot of PULP FICTION doesn't revolve around what's in the briefcase. The entire point of this episode revolved around the thing that's under the blanket, behind you, in the corner of your eye, random vague phrase #32, etc.

Pretty harsh assessment from one episode. The writing was off, but I think he does a decent job so far. I think there's more they haven't tapped yet.

Ha! VERY good point. You're probably right on the money. ;)

LOL! Yeah, discovered the show at the age of six while tuning into PBS to find Sesame Street. Tom Baker, Sarah, and Harry…BLEW MY MIND. I never looked back. ;)
