Shinigami has already gone through what makes Untitled Goose Game so great -it’s charming, it’s clever, the music cues accompany the gameplay oh-so-well- so I’ll refrain from gawking about it too much. It’s good. It’s fun (and hilarious). It’s also short and never overstays its welcome. Try it. It’s even better in bed.

I love you. And the goose.

I have to say, though, I... really don’t see that much of a problem with installing the Epic launcher. I don’t game as much on PC, but I already have uPlay and Steam and, well... isn’t it really just a launcher?

Or play on Switch.

Ugh. I know -I bet everyone in this comment section does- this feeling. I have had Void Bastards on my radar for a while, and since I’ll finish off Astral Chain and (presumably) Untitled Goose Game In the coming days/weeks, think I can probably handle another purchase.

Apart from the GOAT (Goose of the Year), I’ll be doubling down on my Astral Chain playthrough (I still kinda suck, but not as much!) and maybe, just maybe, I’ll treat myself to Void Bastards, which is finally on sale on Steam

I’ve sent the trailer to literally anyone who is moderately interested in videogames in my office. I’ve played my part. I’m so hyped.

What are you playing this weekend?

I can’t wait for this. I am so ready.

I’m still giddy over SNES on the switch, even if it was long overdue, and it’s just 20 games, and we’re missing gems, and Nintendo is being its usual Nintendo self and saying that we’re gonna get even less games moving forward. Still, Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island, A Link to the Past and the O.G. Sup

I started Astral Chain only a couple of days ago, and I haven’t had much time with it yet, so I was planning on spending the bulk of my gaming time this weekend on it. Then Nintendo announced SNES games on switch so, ummm...

Obra Dinn on the Switch is all I wanted. Also, the Jedi Knight(s) and SNES!

Man, Super Mario Odyssey is such a fantastic game. The capture mechanic is fantastic, as you say, and the game feels just so... polished, and simply good to play... I was hoping we would get extra DLC or something to expand on the capture idea. I racked up like 300 moons before moving on to Zelda, and I’m planning on

To me, one way to do it -although then it stops being ultimate alliance, I guess- could have been to maybe focus on certain enemies and levels for certain heroes (i.e. the Hand for the Defenders, the Chitauri and the Iron Man suits for the Avengers, have Spidey and friends beat up thugs and half-superpowered

While I was playing, I couldn’t help but remember Jim Sterling’s take on the game, about how... unreal it felt to be playing as, i don’t know, Thor and get beaten up by randos with guns, or as the Scarlett Witch and not obliterate every single enemy on screen with a single move... Although yeah, I’m sure balancing so

It’s always a bit daunting for me to write about my gaming week(end), after seeing the talent on display in this comment section with commenters like Shinigami, or The Demons, but I’ll try.

Also, how am I in the greys in Kotaku? WHAT HAVE I DONE?

Idk, I own a decent-ish gaming laptop, and I still play FIFA on switch. Even though it’s an extremely lackluster experience compared to PC, and “bigger” consoles. I also own the switch version of games like Hellblade, Dark Souls: Remastered and Unravel 2 (another EA game! Wow!)

Why, though? The videogame market isn’t necessarily suffering. In 2019, there are more people playing games than at any other point in history, and successful games are VERY successful and make money. Indie games are under 20€ and make money. Nintendo’s first party games range from 50-70€ and, of course, make money.

To be fair, I think raw squirrel is probably in the top-3 best dishes of British cuisine.
