I have a LOT on my plate this weekend (and the next, and probably the whole summer). I splurged on the NSW sale last week and got Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and I’m getting Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as soon as I’m out of the office because, while it’s probably a

YES

Very, very limited gaming time this week. I’ve barely touched Assassin’s Creed: Origins, but I really don’t think I’ll be playing much of it this weekend. It’s a bit of a drag. Maybe I’m just not in the mood for it, maybe I’m too cynical to play along with its missions that feel a bit like busywork.

His previous Netflix special(s) weren’t all that great :/

I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins for a bit this week, beat the first “boss” of the game and... well, it’s an O.K. game, but it isn’t really doing it for me. It certainly looks great, even if my laptop isn’t state-of-the art by any means, the scenery is breathtaking, and the temples, pyramids, etc. are all

I haven’t played many 2019 games so far (because of backlog) , but my favourite has been Cadence of Hyrule -a very late entry, I know. I started it this weekend and have been completely hooked. The mechanics are fun, the music is incredible, and I think that the Zelda “skin” suits the Necrodancer-style gameplay

I feel you. I’ve been playing Yakuza for the better part of four months now. Between how long it is, how fun it is to simply go off and waste time in the world map, or do some random stupid side quests, and the fact that most of my limited gaming time is taken up by the switch... I found it very difficult to finish it.

I’m all over another game with a gimmick this weekend. I got Cadence of Hyrule earlier this week and played it yesterday on the train to my parents’ house for the first time (not ideal, I know). The first... 20/30 minutes were BRUTAL. Admittedly, I haven’t played the original Necrodancer (I might do it once I’m done

I’m kinda looking forward to Marvel Ultimate Alliance more than this. It’s giving me anthem vibes.

My mum once made an amazing Spanish omelette that fed like, 15 people, out of an ostrich egg.

I’m okay with roguelites (is that the word?). Loved spelunky, super into Dead Cells, I enjoyed romps such as The Swindle... but it just seems that EVERYTHING now is a roguelike, and I’m a bit tired. Then again, Void Bastards just looks amazing.

The only thing that’s keeping me from buying it this instant is the word ROGUELIKE (also, that I’m at work)

Same here. I’m 20 hours in, halfway through the story, and I’ve been at it since... well, since February. It’s insane. It doesn’t help that my gaming time is limited and, well, mostly on the switch because of portability, but man, i was beginning to think I’d never be able to finish Yakuza.

Devolver Digital are having a sale on Switch right now, but I am committed to not buying absolutely anything else ‘til I finished what’s on my backlog.

OK. I caved. I bought FIFA 19 on the switch. It was 20€, don’t hate me.

What Have You Played This Week?

I finished it this weekend and, yeah, it gets better, but it does feel a bit undercooked. Maybe they’re baiting the sequel way too much. Overall, I have to say I didn’t regret buying it.

Soooooooooooooo... OK, after last week’s WAYPTW I bought the hype and went and got myself Katana Zero on the Switch. I must’ve played it for about an hour or so since Monday and I have to say that, so far, I’m not loving it as much as I thought I would. The game itself is fine, the combat is great and the controls are

Congrats!

I finished Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 on Switch over the last month, and I have to say that... wow. Bayonetta 2 is so much better than the first that it almost pains me to go back to Bayo 1. More refined controls, more and better weapons, more elaborate set pieces... and it overall just feels better. Amazing just how
