Seriously. The number of wildly positive reviews that say something like “I only had to intervene twice when the car tried to make an illegal left and after it killed a pedestrian” is astounding.

Or the glowing reviews just come from Tesla fans that are willing to ignore obvious deficiencies because they’re obsessed with a brand.

Came here to say that. To justify a 8k$ expense, I’d feel the system should have demonstrated its ability to really drive all by itself and not require an intervention every few minutes, maybe not even every few hours.

Friend test drove a Tesla with FSD a few weeks ago. The system needed multiple interventions during the 15-minute test drive. At one point the Tesla salesman even suggested “turn it off and just enjoy the feeling of driving”.

Saw one in the Costco parking lot yesterday. They look so much worse in person. 

I really dislike the constant attempts at establishing some sort of dichotomy and incompatibility between carbon-use reduction and carbon capture.  We need to do both, period.
