Despite their reactions, that was actually a very good stage separation.

Ok that was good. Windows don't roll down because racecar?
That is quite true. I'm trying to think of anything else I would come across but it seems as far as luxy-barge coupes are concerned, the SEC was predominantly the only option. Regarding the SEL though, there were also plenty of Lexus around, and the S class replaced the SEL in the Merc lineup in the 90's.
SEC and SEL were the only Mercs I saw when I lived in Saudi Arabia in the 80's and early 90's.
Time zone differences have caused me to miss your comment, which didn't really answer my question, therefore I shall provide a tidbit of my woman's rants in an attempt to suck you back in to the Jalopverse.
Dear Mr. Wood,
And it seems I just missed the mark by a few minutes.
Dear Lisa,
The irony of it is that the parking brake in the 7 is probably just a button on the dash somewhere.

They also tend to shift into neutral and leave when it comes to autoboxes. I can totally see 7 series owners expecting the car to park itself…
Is it just me or was the right rear LED array still on as this was being shot? This has the following possible implications:
Any chance there's an embedded version of this? I ask because apparently the uploader has not made this video available to my country.
Bacon-and-egg ice cream? What the hell? When did that happen?
Can you imagine how a Lucas system would have turned out?
I can understand the RHD markets, but there are so many examples of others doing this for no apparent reason. If you are in fact referring to the fingerbreak, I really don't know the regulations which are leading to their implementation and would like to be enlightened if you know more.
The image is from a C6 Corvette. Believe me when I say several makes & models are guilty.
Several makes and models are guilty of this: putting the e-brake/handbrake in the wrong place. The basic notion of driving is that one person drives. Others are "passengers". When you place an elemental control in such a spot that the passengers have more say in the matter than the driver you convert driving into a…
In that case if anything it should have something even wilder. Suicide doors, for example.
