I'm "plus-size" and have a friend who is exceptionally thin. It's no more okay for people to comment about her body than it is for them to comment about mine. She's no less real and I'm no less human. But we both get shit. It's not okay in either case.

I don't like how discussion surrounding beauty standards for women in today's society usually comes down to denigrating women who fit into those standards by calling them fake women or implying that in a just world they should be deemed undesirable. "Real" women have curves, "fake" bitches should eat a sandwich, etc.…

I wanted to like that, but the Sheeple stopped me. But yes, a million times yes, that is part of the problem with the patriarchy. I have a young son who doesn't fit gender norms. It makes life hard for him on many levels.

Coach McGurk is just the tops.

I know, he is like Jeff Goldblum or Morgan Freeman, I just can't help but hear his voice in my head reading his words. But he will always be Coach McGurk in my heart!
