We read some on class when I was 12 - the one with the the cyanide-tea-providing landlady and the West Indian hotel with a customer who liked to bet on peoples fingers. It was that ever so special combination of wonderful and slightly traumatising.

Excuse my ignorance, but how much does an American college education cost? (We pay £9000 a year plus board and lodging in England, so I assumed when I saw the headline that $80,000 would be more than enough. Clearly I was wrong :( )

Oh that's actually heartwarming! Seriously though, there should be a charity like that. Some people in a thread higher up were talking about LGBT ect youth in care (who already make up a disproportionally high number of children in care) getting moved from intolerant foster home to intolerant foster home - I'm sure…
So this is never going to be seen since I've not commented before, but "campus" isn't really the right term for a Cambridge college. It's a collegiate university, so it's made up of lots of small, independent colleges, each of which has its own Master and staff of professors and lecturers and stuff, plus students…
