I'm sure a lot of people have dropped the Internet. However, we don't hear about it because they don't make a big deal of it. (hint)

I appreciate the software posts, but I'm not sure why anyone would use this. From the screenshots it looks like someone is browsing Windows Explorer with a modified Windows theme that displays black windows.
I guess this doesn't work on FF2. I got an invalid URL.
Stress test...what do I do with the results besides sit back and go, 'hmph?'
@Diego: See TrueCrypt's documentation at [www.truecrypt.org] Probably way more information than you need. Basically you need both the file and your password to open the encrypted volume.
@interficio: I dunno, does it really matter for Joe Blow? I suppose if you were in actual danger of being hunted down by the DoD, you'd probably know the benefits and drawbacks of each method.
Don't sell white noise short. The idea isn't to crank it up and listen to static—it's to introduce very low levels that you barely notice. @ih8gates: @SenorDunda: Ahh, thanks.
Not to hijack or anything, but what does "after the jump" mean? I can see the screenshots right there, no jumping required.
You guys are doing great. I love everything. I appreciate the moderated threads — you keep the garbage out but don't prune too much. I left Gizmod(erate) because the comments were way too highbrow. Well, actually I got kicked, but that's beside the point.
Hey lookie there, I'm famous! (Even though my comment has absolutely nothing to do with the thread except the fact that Gina's comment was originally under mine).

I ♥ Lifehacker and all but I never thought bold and italic tags were that hard. tee hee
*Gives Lifehacker a hug*
@ceejeemcbeegee: That feature is called "Uninstall FF3 and go back to FF2." Worked for me.
Nice work! It would also be cool if I knew when someone responded to one of my awesome comments. Like this awesome one! Anyone?
Great list, thanks for the compilation. I have a ton of favorite books, but only certain of them have actually changed my life.
Nice work, man.
