Mine blew up in a wide spot in the road called Happyjack, AZ. Which was extremely lucky as there was a forest service office that had a fire fighting squad truck. Strangely it didn’t do much damage except for a bit of a bow in the hood right above carb.

Heh. My father was just saying the same thing.

City’s and utility companies are going buy a ton of these things.

 North Scottsdale. 6:03 AM. 1984.

2nd gear: here in Idaho the legislators have introduced a bill to stop emissions testing on vehicles in the two most populated counties (the only counties required to do so)...now that the air isn’t in violation of EPA standards. Not quite as radical as Japan, but it will be interesting to see what happens....

BMW and VW die fast and die hard.

Among the headwinds that others have motioned here...

Just one degree out of the strike zone!

My uncle Leo - 19 years on the Chevy pick-up and 15 years on the drivers licence. Discovered when he was pulled over just outside of Prescott, Az. for an unsafe lane change.

Probably way off base here -

My grandfathers old plane. I wondered where it went...

Wife and I had just graduated from law school and were sailing my parents boat off Point Fermin.

Like the old saying - A broken clock is right twice a day. He’s right, but for the wrong reasons.

I know its selection bias i.e. - That car is upside down! I’m posting it to YouTube. But, there is amazing amount of accidents that end up a vehicle on its roof.

This.

Lancia Stratos for me

Totally unrelated - That hood is going to make a really cool pattern in a warm hood/falling snow situation.

Then there is dealerships like the one in Portland OR, that I emailed once about a Tacoma. I’ve been getting two a day for a month now asking if I made a choice yet or not.

For the last year we have had essentially no two day deliveries as nearly all the packages are sent using a UPS/USPS hybrid. USPS is the big choke point here. The fastest delivery is now 4 days (not counting the day I order it).
