One of my all-time favorite writers and books. I have read it a few times but I haven't re-read it in years. I was thinking about cracking it open again. I love it so much.

I would definitely love to read the Thompson. I have never, ever heard of Tursten. I love it when that happens. I will look into her stuff. Thank you. This is why I love asking the internet. :)

Oh, I love Bryson. I haven't read him in years and I haven't heard of that one. It sounds amazing. Thanks!

I liked it a lot actually. Mostly because her writing is amazing and she really makes the reader walk in the worlds she creates. However, I found the characters unlikable and I think that's why it took me longer than usual to read. I still thought it was excellent and very compelling. The sensation of agitation

I have only read one book by Pratchett. Maybe I will look for this. Thanks!

I'm more than happy to be spewed on like that. I saw your other post. I'm sure I have suggestions because that stuff is right up my alley. When I am less distracted I will give it some thought.

That's on my list! But you're making me want to bump it up.

How contemporary? I definitely have suggestions but I have to give it some thought.

I have never read Fforde. He's been on my list. Have you read more of his stuff?

Oh! Thanks for all this!

Also, I like your screen name. I didn't catch it at first. :)

I'm a book slut, any genre will do generally. I don't know Romance really.

I like Eugenides. I know people have valid issues with him but I am always deeply drawn in when I read his books. I read The Marriage Plot a few months ago and loved it.

What do you think of Don't Lets Go to the Dogs Tonight? I had reservations about reading it when it came out and I'd forgotten about it.

Lol. Duly noted.

Hellllloooooooo! Books? What are you reading? Anybody have some recommendations??

I miss it too. Some of the best writing ever on television. Such a travesty it got cancelled.

Rad, right??

Though I find this compelling, I want to take a moment to focus on the other part of this sentence… the part when Holmes frames Katniss' relationship to Peeta and Gale as a "conflict between" and a "choice." I think that, in some ways, the requirement to choose one or the other forces Katniss' to, not only "choose" a

I've always liked that name for any gender. Both my kids names end with that sound but my son's is only in nickname form.
