I just figured the ones kids wear today are based on medical science; I don’t know how much they knew about anatomy back then. Also if the issues are from bad nutrition (like brittle bones or rickets or something), I don’t really see how a corset would solve those problems...those are things that actual medical

How would corsets help with spinal issues, though? I mean, I’m sure they may have had those issues; I just doubt wearing a corset is going to do anything...

When was that?

Sure it did. She’s an experienced horse woman; probably more comfortable on a horse than anywhere else.

How do tourists know you’re a Wiccan, though?

The difference is that a lot of folks quoted in that article were saying that their lack of access to IVF was wrong. No one here is saying that we should lift stay at home bans to go to hair salons, just that for black women deprived of access to hair care, it’s a relatively small but real loss.

I was curious after reading the coverage, so I visited Honey Pot’s site and agree. Most of it feels like stuff no one really needs, and the idea of tampons/pads with “cooling sensation” felt off.

Even though it’s never been a book I loved, the movie made me appreciate the story much more. I think for that, Greta Gerwig deserves props!

I wear thick leggings with my dresses/skirts, but I often wonder how the women who wear tiny dresses while barhopping, and no coats, manage it!

I saw Joker, and I don’t think the incel stuff was warranted. It seemed like that was all anyone was talking about before it came out, but then after the release, that seemed to go away, I think because it wasn’t really rooted in anything substantial. I was hoping it would get best pic, but to be fair I haven’t seen

Random question, but would eating undead flesh turn you into a zombie? And can animals become zombies?

I’m planning to watch now that I’m off work this week. Just started the first one, and I’m finding it cute.

But they don’t mention weight loss, either. It sounds more like she’s into it b/c she has a dedicated exercise routine.

I always hear people saying that on Jezebel, but I wear nothing but sandals in the summer and am fine, and I see lots of other women doing it...maybe you develop a sixth sense for not stepping in obvious dirt/etc.?

I feel like social media makes it hard to harbor any kind of “bad” opinion. What the student said wasn’t so bad. But when the person you’re talking about can read it and react...anything that isn’t entirely neutral or positive can get warped. But we should have the ability to debate without attacking people.

I thought I was going crazy--I started thinking that same thought midway through!

Eh, I don’t think I’d make that link, to be honest, even as an American who remembers 9/11. Other things did happen in 2001...

Yeah based on watching the movie, I found that line jarring...the movie sets him up as an unbalanced, already vulnerable guy who goes off the edge after a series of bad events--going off his meds, getting physically brutalized, and making some horrifying discoveries about his past.

Hannibal Lector....

We do? Other than cramps, what pains are normal for adult women to have all the time?
