For me, it’s really just been that he has not been as progressive as he promised during his campaign (which coincidentally is why I was reluctant to get on the Bernie train - I’d seen that show before). As for why MOST people criticize him, I think he gets very similar treatment to Obama.

There was dashcam footage that showed the entire incident, from the pullover to the shooting. In the press conference, they went over the footage in detail, step-by-step, i.e., “Yanez walked to the drivers’ side of the car and rested his left arm in the drivers’ window and his right hand on the hood of the car.”

The thing that made me the maddest about this case is that the fact that a black man simply told a police officer that he was armed got him dead—while these white, Bible-thumping, gun-toting, alt-right psychotic assholes carry assault weapons through public places and don’t even get stopped.

Seriously, him saying he would destroy the records before giving them to a deportation task force made me reel. we need more people talking like this.

I would say that before Michelle, the last “classy, beautiful and dignified” FLOTUS we had was Jackie Kennedy. Which is not to rip on other First Ladies in between, but hot damn did Jackie have all those things in spades.
