It's only been over the last month or two that I've started reframing my existence with respect to diet and exercise. Yes, I still food-shame myself at times, but I'm also coming to the slow realization that forcing myself to go to the gym isn't a punishment for doing something wrong.

"I wonder how it's possible that I gain weight eating 1200 calories a day"

You realize that whole list of limits is not going to end up rewarding you, right? I say that from experience—smokers have a similar list of things, and living with a controlling partner a person also has a litany of things they do. But the problem is it's not really helping that "other person" you think you're doing

Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs, sister.

Notable lyrics include: "You look so good standing there/in my American Apparel underwear/and I know now/that I'm so down."

1) This band is an insult to all the good pop punk bands of the late 90's/early 2000's that never got any radio airplay.

Dear sweet Jesus, just no.

I saw this and thought the poor guy was sick.

So...what you're saying is I should stay in this summer.

But also notoriously bad at including and integrating POC. It's such a mixed bag.

RIGHT?! Like don't have sex, but if you do you won't know how to not get pregnant, so then you will be pregnant and you will have to keep it even though it is beyond your means and you will probably have to drop out of school and be unable to earn a living wage and we will not do anything to help you so good luck with

my girlfriend at the time decided at the last minute to go to prom with her ex-boyfriend, who was also my ex-boyfriend

I'm seeing a lot of commenters spent 50-300 hundred dollars on their prom. I personally wore a burlap sack with one blue ribbon to my prom and instead of a limo, walked barefoot uphill in the snow for three miles to get there. My date was a raccoon. It cost me about 7 dollars at the time.

There's some majorly rich little shits throwing the average way off.

I'm trying to picture what would have had to have happened as a high school student for my parents to spend 500 bucks on me. Forget prom, that probably would have been too steep a ransom demand for them.

I would also like to highlight the rage that burns from me when you consider this: Abstinence folks are typically the folks that say, "We oppose government interfering in our daily lives! Except if you're pregnant. Then you have no reproductive choices. We'll get ALL UP in your biznass. But when the kid is born,

My kids got various forms of sex ed in grade 7-9, each dealt with different aspects. i.e. the grade 7 was a lot about dating, dating in groups and pairs, myths about pregnancy, etc. Grade 8 was how sex worked, how pregnancy happened, birth control, STDs, etc. Grade 9 was a lot about self-esteem, rape, breaking up,

I have shot at gun ranges and was even offered a gig as a model for a gun aficionado magazine, but turned it down because it's not my cup of tea. I can't promote something we invented to be a more efficient way of killing things. I do think the gun culture in the states is completely different than any where else in

I will never understand how this line of argument doesn't get more traction. Realistically, firearms are the only tools we produce in our society with the sole practical purpose of killing living things. That makes them inherently different from any other product people want the right to own. Pretty much the only

For people who are considering quitting their jobs because the cost of daycare eats up almost their entire salaries: think deeper. Maybe staying home is the right choice for you because you would find it fulfilling. But if you are only staying home because of the daycare-to-salary ratio, consider long-term investments
