Potentially unpopular opinion. Dick is far superior to Forrest Gump. Both are tongue in cheek historical fiction, but Forrest Gump is condescending and obvious. Dick is humourous and assumes the viewer is smart enough to get all the historical references without explaining them so blatantly.
She’s pretty cool in my book. And has a sense of humor.
Dick is criminally underrated. It is such a fantastic movie (Dan Hedaya’s Nixon was brilliant!) and one of my all-time favorites. I felt so bad for them having to film scenes in those era-authentic clothes in the hot swamp-ass DC summer.
And it’s likely the next generation of this group will vote differently than their mothers and grandmothers.

Prediction: I watch it intending to hate it because it ruins the perfection of the first season. I end up loving it and blabbing about it to anyone who will listen.
The only reason why I’m down with this second season is they got Andrea Arnold to direct so the show will be seen through a women-led lens (sans David Kelly’s involvement).
