sorry, i should have been clearer, I don’t have a problem with people bringing their kids, i have a problem with selfie-taking while others are trying to get through the cramped garage and the general “look at me being a spectacular parent” of it all.

By the time these kids are old enough to vote it will all be by mail or online anyway, so really you’re just teaching them nostalgia. Better to be a permanent absentee and always vote at home, that would prepare them for the future.

I thought I might but I was too annoyed by the parents ostentatiously putting their I voted stickers on their children and taking selfies. Somehow I learned to vote every election without my parents making a big show of it. Signed, cranky old lady in a pantsuit.
