Umm, isn't "Classical" like 7 different types of music? Setting aside orchestral film scores, there's at least Romantic, Baroque, and Modern? Does choral music go here?

THIS. I grew up in Texas but in a Hindu vegetarian home — no cuts of beef. It wasn't until after university (so I was ~22) when I realized that filet mignon is a fancy cut of beef and not a filet of the mignon fish, or that such a fish didn't exist.

This is also true with Hindus — we can't have stock made with animal bones, so my mother basically only goes to 3 restaurants that she has vetted fully, one of which is an Indian restaurant.

The reason people connect with and admire Clair Huxtable is because she is a complete, fleshed-out, interesting character.

Holy fuck HE WAS IN THAT?!

This happened (happens, if I'm being honest) with me and my mother.

That's what "British" was shorthand for.

It's pretty strongly implied that they do, I thought? Though I loooove Vixen a lot and was aok with those two being together as well. Or OT3.

This was the commercial that made me wonder if these commercials were supposed to be some kind of....Frat Pack/Lonely Island hybird CGI parody? No that's way too thinky.

Sadly, it's been (sorta) done but in other realms. Lois & Clark did the campy, romcommy fun version, and the DC Animated Universe went about as all-in as they could with Bats/Wondy without alienating their target demo.

If you go back and watch the first season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, it's very rom-com-y. It's on purpose; the executive producer explicitly says in the commentary track for the pilot that they went full-on with the Clark/Lois romance angle, and they committed to that in the first season. Executiv

Bats/Wondy forever, no one can take that ship away from me.

You need to send me the title of this book immediately. I've been on the roam for a new romance, and I've building up a stash for the wintertime.

Offtopic a bit, but: yo Kelly, I'm a major romance fan, and while our tastes don't always run parallel (I liked "It Happened One Autumn" much more than "Devil in Winter," but hey that's why were have different books!) I gotta appreciate your perspective. Any chance we could get some of those Smart Bitches from SBTB to

That's because firefighters are the new Highlander Scotsman (there was a Thing about kilts fairly recently, kilts were everywhere) and rightly so, goddamn.

There is so much that is A+ in this comment, I don't even know where to begin.

This is my favorite Jezebel post ever, I think.

I cannot THIS your comment hard enough. My ethnic background is rather notorious for being extremely conservative with respect to how much unmarried youths (and especially girls) can(not) do. So when these children go abroad to study...it's a shitshow, and they go way too far. I've seen it play out year after year and

*shrug* You got me, bro. I just lived with it. It meant for me, as a singer, I couldn't transfer to a less-competitive choral program to guarantee myself a spot at All-State Choir. It also meant transferring high schools after JV for theater one-act competitions and academic decathlon wasn't happening, either.
