KeyMod vs MLOK was decided when NSWC Crane put out that slide deck with the results of their testing. KeyMod got crushed, and now even Vltor has abandoned it.

I think the base models come with it according to the web page. Guess we’ll see what the reviews say.
That would definitely be a killer feature for me.
No kidding. I’ve been casually looking for something to replace our Mazda5 if it dies. I was assuming it’d be another minivan or a crossover, but a $20k pickup with a very attractive base package is one heck of a contender. Yeah, there’s no third row seating, but we hardly used that anyways in the first place. Makes…
How much more are you willing to pay to properly train cops to do this? I’m not even talking raises or bonuses, I am talking about literally funding the training and hours off patrol to teach cops how to do it safely, and then keep them up to date. Because you can absolutely kill people trying to restrain them if you…
Totally blown away that so many people here think PET CARE COSTS need to be socialized. People need to grow up and accept that it can and should be possible to get yourself into situations which are unaffordably expensive, and that said situations are just YOUR problem, not everyone else’s, even if human healthcare…
3d audio is weird in that it has been around forever, yet gets touted as a great innovation every few years. I was using A3D and EAX back in like... 1998 or something.
One, it’s a great show, and two, I had no idea this guy was a real life figure. Very cool.
This capability has existed for a while in the form of the COTI and E-COTI, which provide essentially clip-on fusion capability for existing NV. The fact that Giz doesn’t actually know about bino NV and COTIs is more of a commentary on their knowledge of the subject matter than anything else.
Reminds me of the outline tracing mode that the COTI and E-COTI have. You as a US civilian have access to technology quite a bit like this already, provided you’re willing to spend about $20k to get yourself a pair of RNVGs, an E-COTI, and appropriate helmet/mounts. Won’t be as nicely integrated, but you’ll get a lot…
There are contracts in place which specify requirements and so on. If they deliver stuff that doesn’t meet those requirements and the final specifications, bad things start happening.
I did not know this! Thank you. My internal drive is running out of space faster than I’d prefer, so something has gotta give...
My experience with HDMI-CEC is that it works alright if you get lucky with your device toolchain and there’s not too much stuff on it. My bedroom TV with a FireTV hooked to it does more or less OK. However, I’ve got a fairly complex home theater setup (like... six HDMI devices, a component device or two, an AV…
I don’t know if you heard this, but the Harmony remotes are going away because the market is full of idiots who think HDMI-CEC works reliably. :P (I am not implying you are one of them; more like “you are right”.)
This is true, but it’s also because running off external storage nukes load times. Dumb as the storage expansion cards are, it IS nice to be able to add to the internal storage on the XSX.
This is an utterly fantastic idea.
You nailed it. Companies change over two and a half decades, and GW has changed _a lot_. They really needed to - the original game store centric paradigm was a loser, and was slowly killing them.
I’ve had a long-timePSN account with every major Sony system registered to it - multiple versions in some cases - and received no such email. Whatever their metric was for “loyal users”, it sucked.
My personal take is that mismanagement by studio heads is still a failure of Microsoft leadership. In the end, those guys report to someone in the MS chain of command.
There’s more money short-term in keeping those PS5 releases and not breaking contracts, I agree.
