This capability has existed for a while in the form of the COTI and E-COTI, which provide essentially clip-on fusion capability for existing NV. The fact that Giz doesn’t actually know about bino NV and COTIs is more of a commentary on their knowledge of the subject matter than anything else.

You nailed it. Companies change over two and a half decades, and GW has changed _a lot_. They really needed to - the original game store centric paradigm was a loser, and was slowly killing them.
