To be completely honest I deleted it off my iPad in late 2020 because I couldn’t handle playing it, it has a definite dark edge to the presentation that I wasn’t interested in given the.....everything in the world. But now I wish I hadn’t because a) it had unusually great and tight design for a video game version of a

It was the first Xbox that I didn’t buy. On top of everything else, it was the first Xbox that didn’t support custom soundtracks at launch (I believe they patched some version of it in later) so I bought a gaming PC in 2014 and never looked back. It didn’t hurt that Microsoft committed to bringing more games to PC

Even if I didn’t spend all my time playing indie games, this news would still read to me like “publisher that has become more and more disappointing over time purchases publisher that never made anything good to start with” so can’t say it’s all that alarming.

It feels like the entire thing was planned by some lunatic that assumes that human spare time will increase exponentially or something. Hell, I cancelled my PC Game Pass recently, mostly because I have enough of a backlog between EGS free games and humble bundle purchases to last the rest of my life, and the free

As someone who’s had a hard time getting a single damn working CRT monitor for an old arcade game at a reasonable price, this makes me pretty sick. In an ideal world they’d force this guy to reverse engineer and manufacture CRT monitors in prison for the rest of his life.

Now I’m worrying that my taking 9 days to finish watching the new batch of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure episodes has helped endanger the future of the series.

It’s honestly a really good game and I hope this stunt goes well for the devs (I think I paid more like $2 for it a year ago)

At the time I couldn’t believe that the public was so computer illiterate that they would really think that something that had to be played on a modded console would be anything that a child could stumble onto by accident, but I guess as time has gone on I’ve learned to expect less from them.

On one hand there are less songs missing than I expected, but on the other, I’m not dying to play these portably so will probably still grab the PC version for mods to add the songs back in.

I remember it as one of the first times I played something that “shouldn’t work in 3d but it really feels like the thing it’s adapting”, the first one was naturally Super Mario, but Nintendo was *supposed* to be the company who worked miracles like that, GTA was much wilder because it previously felt like a novelty

The matches where I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had?

It’s far more socially acceptable to suggest that people should suffer endlessly if they can’t afford to get by than it is to suggest that businesses should close if they can’t afford to get by and that’s just another horrible thing about society here. Corporate personhood was practically in our DNA before it was ever

Transfer the cost to patrons. I would go out of my way to eat somewhere good where the food cost 20-30% more that was open about paying their employees a living wage and encouraging other restaurants to do the same by eliminating tipping, and I know a lot of other people would too. Fortune favors the bold.

There’s a difference between not wearing your emotions on your sleeve and not having emotions. I don’t even think the characterization in Dread is as much a reaction to Other M as it is a reaction to the excessive amount of performative and fake emotional stuff we’ve all had to witness these past few years from people

Now playing

Nintendo did the exact same shit in 1994, we did not have it better back then

I really think that the nostalgia fog breaks at some point when you’re playing things you wouldn’t have thought were possible as a kid and also you just eventually figure out what you really like. I’m 44 and my favorite Zelda is BOTW, in fact it’s one of my favorite games. Link Between Worlds is probably second.

This would make it an easy decision to buy digitally day one if only digital games weren’t still the same price or more expensive than physical.

I’m already presuming that I’m only getting this for PC because soundtrack mods

I guess I knew Goldeneye and Perfect Dark wouldn’t make the cut but it still hurts. Those games were like 99% of my N64 time when it was new so I don’t really have nostalgia for anything else except Mario and Tetrisphere (which like c’mon can’t I at least have Tetrisphere??)

I absolutely loved both Titanfall games, but if I have to choose between exceptional games with years between sequels and yearly installments of shooters that are usually just ok, I prefer the former. Honestly I don’t even know how good games with yearly installments are because it feels so off-putting to me that I
