The town of Stone Mountain is most famous for the giant monolith that bears an enormous relief of Confederate war heroes. Think of it like a sloppily done, racist Mt. Rushmore.

My mouth is literally watering. Just needs some scallions and shredded pork.
Gene Simmons can get fucked with a rake. A truly disgusting human being.
To each his own, but I love podcasts. I’ve taken a few multi-week road trips in the past few years and podcasts were one of the best parts of the trip, and a practical necessity since I was often out of radio range and was tired of my music.
“My wife found a snake in the backyard the other day”
How can something be “overblown” if it’s literally true? There was absolutely no exaggeration.
I don’t get it.
So, what about the headline are you disputing?
Of course a popular writer (or band or restaurant) can be a bad one, but acknowledging that leaves us exactly where ChipKellyOlnyk’s original point began, which is that since very few people praise Bill Simmons for his technical abilities, a 10,000 word attack on those abilities is pointless.
Where is Simmons?
“and he should definitely get shit for the ways he’s been trying to brush the blunder off.”
My dog got out in 2007 when a landscaper left the back gate open.
Slow-jerk is a great way to put it. Albert loves the sound of his own thoughts.
Maybe we’re saying the same thing because I agree that the perspective of the sight has become homogenous, but I still find the style of some of the writers to be unique.
You just made me realize I might read Deadspin too much. Shit.
I don’t think that’s a fair criticism. Burneko, Margary, Petcheskey and Howard all have pretty unique voices that I could easily recognize without a byline. Samer, Tim, Tom, Rohan and the rest of the weekend guys are entirely indistinguishable to me, though.
The irony is that Albert Burneko, who is smarter and more literate than Simmons, is also a shitty writer for exactly the same reasons as Simmons; a tremendous self-regard and a style that is more about highlighting himself than addressing his subjects.
