You’re ignoring the fact that VR removes awareness of the world around you, something that most adults want nothing to do with as a standard form of gaming, as usually there’s other things to do in one’s life, like take care of children, do things around the house, etc.

Hundreds of dollars is expensive for most people, plus the average person doesn’t have the PC Specs to push VR at a good, solid, framerate.

A killer app isn’t going to “sell a bunch of hardware”. It will sell some.

They chose the wrong way to do it, as this is a middle-finger to the majority of Half-Life fans. VR owners are still a minority, and releasing a killer app won’t change that as most people don’t have the money, PC Specs, or space to even accommodate for VR.

Much better graph. VR is a new platform, and will never “replace” standard gaming, no matter what, for millions of reasons. Is it a killer platform? Yeah! It’s great! It’s no longer a gimmick or anything, it’s a serious platform! Just as much as PC, Console and Mobile are serious platforms! Did any of those replace

It’s another medium, and that graph says nothing about it being “The Future of Gaming”.

There could be lots of ways to do it, and people would bitch and complain about any of them. This was a great way to do it, and it works for the game, it’s not sexist or anything like that.

Not only that, but using “Stillmothers” is a much less misogynistic idea than using completely healthy, living mothers as baby farms.

It’s hard to explain much without spoiling, but BB’s serve an important purpose that would be really difficult to portray with any other “object”. Taking care of your BB is actually wildly important to your own survival, so it’s nowhere near as bad as it sounds, giving them the horrible backstory makes them seem more i

Considering you haven’t played it yet, that’s a very unfounded opinion, it’s really not like that at all. It’s just really fucking weird.

I go through about a half-gallon of milk every 2-3 days. I always have a glass or two before sleep, and my wife used to drink just as much til she developed lactose intolerance (but she still drinks it occasionally)

You’re an idiot.

Red Alert 2 was fucking awesome, way better than original StarCraft. (Though admittedly, far less balanced)

You could stream it. Just set up a stream on Mixer (for the latency, as Mixer has 250ms Latency), tell your friends the stream link, and it’s all set up from there. There’s even “Streamer mode” which extends the timers for people who are getting latency anyway.

How is this “blackface”? Blackface is a history of dark skinned caricature, this is top-level masking and special effects. There’s nothing “offensive” about this. Dark skinned people are allowed to accurately represent light skinned people, but light skinned can’t when it’s as accurate as *using a latex mask and

Not true at all, while people thought that would destroy it, it was actually extremely popular, especially on PC. It only died quickly on consoles, because PC players had such an advantage it wasn’t fun for console players.

PC/Console crossplay is what destroyed that game. PC Players still had a massive advantage, and console players dropped off the face of the earth mere months after release while the PC version stayed active for years.

Yeah, because there’s nothing racist about someone talking in a way many people talk, race aside... entirely.

Way to paraphrase. It’s not racist to make an over-the-top character that talks the way MANY people talk (not even just African-American (or other dark skinned) people, hell I know more white people that talk like Tiny Tina than them. It makes the person pointing it out racist for assuming it’s stereotyping a race,

Not really, Borderlands makes everyone seem ridiculous and over-the-top, so if anything, it’s more racist of the person pointing her out specifically than the other way around.
