@mannequin: To each their own, I agree. It's important to try to learn to love yourself as you are, and address any psychological or self-esteem issues, but sometimes something cosmetic can make such a huge difference to your happiness. I had big front teeth, and when my dentist shaved a couple of millimetres off

I'm a straight woman and I've wished this many times. I'm so screwed up about men after being sexually abused as a child. I'm afraid of men, messed up about sex, and generally never feel safe. I have often wished I were a lesbian, because I like to imagine that I would be able to finally feel safe. Part of me

@Doll face: I ordered turquoise because it's pretty, because I thought the white colour would end up staining and looking icky after a while, and because I thought 'turquoise + red, ooh, purpley!' (such a dork)

@JPGorgon: I've never ever come across salvia.

Cue unsolicited advice from Michael Lohan in 4...3...2...

@GunwallsLizzie: Confession: I totally bought little housecoats for my dogs from the Martha Stewart pets collection.

@mtfmuffins: I'm a tool of The Man, and it's definitely demoralizing. But I cling to the fairytale that one day my prince (read: engaging, well-paid job) will come.

I couldn't help myself; I created an account and looked up my city to see if I know any of the people on there. Didn't, but there was a funny pic of a dude with a lobster. (and eek, some really bad photos) Also, I find it kinda creepy when women in their 40s refer to themselves as "princesses."

@Caenct: that made me feel sad too :( Lonely old people are such a heart breaker.

@Sandicomm: yeah, I thought the writer was being a little hard on her...the colour suits her, the dress isn't trashy or skanky or frumpy or dowdy, which can't be said for a few of the others...

Ok, even though I don't have a period, I totally just ordered a turquoise LadyCup. Because I will probably have one soon once I pull out this dastardly IUD.

@alia.the.gardener: I had no idea there were even other cups out there. I've definitely gotta check out this Lady Cups thing if they've got different sizes. Also if it comes with a robot that will insert the thing for me so I don't have to stick my own arm up my cooter.

@Girl Unawares: I have this issue too. I used to use the Keeper and it was definitely a challenge (and a bit painful) to get it in there, but I was able to use it. Then I got an IUD and haven't had a period in 4 years. But when I finally take that thing out, I think I'll give the DivaCup a try...it looks much

Geezus, that "ring of fire" article is terrifying!

@artemiscuous: I feel sick every time someone uses the word "rape" inappropriately, like, "dude, I totally raped that test!"

@spiraloflife: yup...i am terrible at life. i have to swim like a 3 legged dog under water because i need to hold my nose closed. *shame*

@likeskeletons: ughh, i have so done this. feeling intimidated by tattoo artists and not being assertive enough. sucks.

@bangers: yeah, couldn't be JT because he's an acting-inclined musician, not a musically-inclined actor.

@go out and love someone: maybe people feel like they can shop for themselves if stuff is discounted, but hold back otherwise. I think I would do more bargain hunting for a personal item than for a gift.
