Very aware of that, but the women experiencing discrimination are more likely to look...not like this. As a 54 year old woman who doesn’t look like a grandma, but is decidedly now in the invisible zone and is absolutely losing job opportunities because of my age, representation does indeed matter. 

It’s telling that you couldn’t be bothered to find an age-appropriate woman for the header pic.

I feel the same way about anyone who watches those shows. Horrible people playing up being horrible for the cameras, predictably. And that’s interesting why? Season after season after season.

Yep, that’s why I refer to them as her “audience humiliation games” and had to stop watching a long time ago.
