She’s very pretty in a very generic way. Prom queen pretty with the requisite vocal fry.

And nostalgia
It's always fascinating when people don't know what "porn" actually is...
I commented last week that this season has been riddled with technical errors, obvious ones. How is it that Trae is only seeing this one?
Is it just me, or are there a LOT of technical mistakes this year? Consistently obvious gaffes from what should be pros? What’s going on with the SNL tech crew?
Informed delivery is unavailable unless you live in a single residence house. Houses with apartments and apartment buildings...they won't work. Ask me how I know.
My theory is that people who first saw it as kids will like it because: nostalgia (and mix that up with “good”), and people who saw it first as adults are more likely to realize it’s garbage. Infantalized adults - people who love all things Disney, etc - will probably also tell you it’s amazing (it’s not).
Yeah this show felt like concepts that never went anywhere. Megan was game, but the material just wasn’t good.
Not one mention of it. She just jumps out of bed like Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka and by the end is doing her full out cheerleading routines again.
I’m surprised you even think it’s a good premise. Still, I just watched the whole thing, as a curiosity. It was atrocious. Embarrassingly so.
Right, it’s almost endearing...it needs to stop.
I think you’re spot on here. She ham-strung every sketch she was in and ran away with the timing of each one. She is simultaneously infectiously charming, but there’s not a lot of ensemble sensibility there, and the rest of the cast were constantly playing catch up to her.
- I loved the dog show sketch because there are so many of these kinds of over-bred tissue paper dogs that are physically frail and have a million neuroses, and the idea that we’d showcase them is hilarious
I’m a lifelong nondrinker and don’t really run into these, but I do wish that restaurants would offer adult beverages that are more interesting than soda and iced tea. Even high end, creative restaurants fall down on this. They’ll have the most extensive alcohol lists and then just offer Coke products. Sigh.
No, that’s definitely not something a singer would ever intentionally do (and it would take herculean effort and skill). Like, ever. Plus, she was consistently just vocally weak, not off pitch.
It was an interesting production with some cool cameos but I gotta say...the music was pretty awful, particularly the lyrics, which I found fairly cringey throughout. Surprised that Sondheim was supportive. I’ll see myself out...
Ha ha, maybe you better hook me up!
That’s what it means in this context and (professional musician here) though it wasn’t particularly terrible pitch-wise, it just wasn’t good. She was just vocally shaky, though I appreciate that she was singing live. She’s not a good singer. Or a good writer. But I’m clearly in the minority and she doesn’t need me to…
(it’s not even that good)
I’ll definitely be in the minority here, but I just...don’t get it. Good for her for singing live, though she’s not much of a singer, and the song...isn’t much of a song. It’s a ragey breakup anthem, but in the pantheon of pop songwriting, it’s not particularly distinguished one musically or lyrically other than its…
