yeah, because there’s stuff in them.

Del Taco currently has stuffed quesadilla tacos that look way better.

McNugget in a bad piece of flatbread? County me in! These kind of look similar to these frozen chicken sandwiches we used to buy at Costco. They are great for an unhealthy late-night snack.

Way too many important characters. The Expanse did it right (in retrospect) by making synthesis characters like the TV version of Drummer, but they had the help of the original authors to do that. Fingers crossed.

Game of Thrones, though it couldn’t stick the landing, still changed the TV landscape into one that can support a big-budget fantasy show.

WoT is always going to be a tough sell. Among other things, it relies way more on worldbuilding and magic and the like in order to understand its story (especially in comparison to GoT). I imagine the best thing it has going for it is the fact that everyone (audiences and studios) is looking for the next GoT, and a

I have no idea how that trailer is supposed to sell the show to non-book readers. Everything looks so damn generic. Witcher manages to keep the thirst taps flowing, GoT has tits and dragons, and the Silmarillion show has a ton of built-in name recognition.

On a phone, an app is easier to navigate than a webpage. To some, convenience is the why they use these.

And it is always Happy Hour at Sonic on the app. I’ll drink myself silly on Rt. 44 cherry limeades.

Burger King’s rewards and deals are available on their website, bk.com, no app download required (and no password needed, it simply emails you a code when you log in from a new device); I just checked my account on the site, it is accruing rewards points including bonus points for whatever reason.

It speeds up the drive through. You just give them a 4 digit code, and that handles the full order and payment. If they have two windows and the first handles payment, you can skip that one. And you don’t have to worry about them mishearing your complex order over the little speaker.

I’ve become a fan of the Sonic app myself. Part of that is due to their physical set up, admittedly. Place an order, give it an estimated arrival time (or just say ASAP), and when you get there, you pull into a stall, check in on the app with your stall number, and they bring it out. The screen at that stall even

I like how much customization you can actually do in the app. I can get my burrito just the way I like, with a lot of non-obvious options I didn’t know to ask for before. And it remembers my favorite combos.

I MUCH prefer to use the Starbucks app rather than order in person, because then I don’t have to remember all the magical phrases to get what I’m after...plus if something is sold out at a location it tells you before you check out so you don’t start throwing out an order in line only to get told they’re out and then

If you’re counting Starbucks, their app is pretty good. It’s easy to customize a drink and their points are easy to use. It’s also nice they tell you if something isn’t out of stock.

The worst part is capitalism.

Guess your sarcasm detector needs some new batteries.....

When working at a campus adjacent SBux in college, one year finals hit 100+ drinks per register per half hour. Yes I was running that shift.

I worked at a Thornton’s in Columbus for 18 hours straight on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day back in 2001. We were the only place open within 20 blocks that sold milk, eggs, and propane. My assistant manager bailed on me to be with her family, didn’t bother to call me, and I ended up working solo for two shifts and part

>the worst part of that picture is knowing they still have to clean the damn place up before they can leave.
