@Ajh: True, and I'm sure that Shonen in particular is rather kanji-lite.

@bowen13: Oh I wouldn't refute that- but they won't drop the price when they have a semi-legitimate excuse not to. At least, not until it's too late to really help much.

@bowen13: To address your third point, manga is much cheaper in Japan. You can easily find volumes for 300¥(about $3). I think that translation and the larger printing size (almost an inch more for American versions) drives the price up.

@Arken: It's the same as Marvel, DC and Darkhorse positioning their titles in foreign markets. Madhouse and Production I.G. are just as much in the business to make money as their American counterparts.

@Locien: Gah, how can you possibly get past all the Kanji? Are you the superman? I've been taking the language for 4 years and I still can't even read a newspaper. Too many strokes!

The Tosev Timeline books start out great- the first 4 are really spectacular. But then he spent 4 more really just keeping the status quo and not going far enough with the concept.

@GusF: In the Presence of Mine Ememies is really good. I quite enjoyed it.

@Angryrider: I now need to see this entire series.

Uh Oh, Starfish Hitler has a Magic Sword.

#2 is definitely the best of the bunch, though I do kind of like #4 as well.

I was always a bit concerned with Adventure Dog's Immigration Policy, honestly.

@chr0me: Say WHAT!? runs over to Netflix

I have work over the weekend!

@Serge.: No, these are hipsters. Garfield is merely fashionable.

This is amazing. I want it. So much.

@Jester21: It's called not being a shitty parent. You should be fine.
