I can't decide if The Death of Alice Blue looks like the best thing I've seen in days, or if watching Blue - An Erotic Life simply broke my brain.

@KEPinion: See, now that is a perfectly fine opinion for someone to have. I personally think that he's great. But hey! I ≠ Everyone. Your mileage may vary.

@Zom-B: we'll never be able to have fair examples, but you might as well cast some whites, asians, indians and hispanics in the next reboot of ROOTS if they're the best actors for the part.

@Darth Meow 504: You're reaching rather far with that definition, as you well know. And your entire facetious argument is predicated on the idea that letting a Black man play a role based on a White comic book character is just as ridiculous having an octogenarian woman play him.

@Darth Meow 504: You see, that response completely fails. Because Betty White as Spider-Man makes inherently no sense, as the fact of his maleness is immutable by his very name.

@CommodoreRake: Is his whiteness immutable? Would his story be any different if he was Black or Hispanic? No. He is a poor, smart kid growing up in Queens. Statistically, he has less of a chance of being white than of being a minority.

@CommodoreRake: Well if you post a thoughtless and stupid comment, shouldn't you expect a stupid reaction? I mean you didn't even support your (deficient) thesis.

Yelchin or Bell wouldn't be bad.

@Roklimber: It's network-wide, too. It's affecting every Gawker Media site that I frequent.

@ThatGirlCrystal: They've switched it up so that a teaser for the next WDAS film (in this case Tangled) plays in front of Pixar's film, and the Pixar teaser plays in front of the WDAS film.

Is spending $50 on 16 books insane?

It looks Seth Rogen-ish, which could go either way. But Jay Chou looks pretty badass, and I did like the gadgetry. Maybe I'll see it!

@Mine.is.an.Evil.Laugh: I guess! I actually had no idea what one was until I googled it, just now.

I would love to see this film! It looks fantastic, I hope that Wanuri Kahiu is able to go on to create with more exposure a la Blomkamp.

@Andrew M: He slimmed down for this role. And he wasn't that fat to begin with.

@jonp86: Is he!? I hadn't been keeping up recently. Is he in the new Warren Ellis arc?
