Yeah it’s a weird narrative of this article. For the first 90%, it’s trying to highlight a case of cops being overly aggressive. And then barsanti waits till the last sentence to drop in the minor detail that there was a loaded gun in the car, like it’s an afterthought, rather than justification for the cop’s behavior.

Cops are told someone in the car has gun. Cops pull car over and act aggressively because someone told them there’s a gun in the car. Cops find gun in car.
