The criticism I always here of her is that she’s making the same movie over and over. As if Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell and every other male comedian ever didn’t do that exact same thing.

Stuff like this breaks my cynical heart.

I have a hard time with shit like this. As a parent, who has had to defend many non-traditional parenting choices, there is a line between things that sound o.k. (home-made baby food) and things that sound dangerous to a child’s health and well being (not vaccinating).

You obviously don’t get it. They didn’t choose the right name for their project, therefor it’s the stupidest idea since coats for dogs. It’s not like what they’re actually doing is important or anything.

It’s simple, really.

1/2 situations in which Men use the toilet require the seat to be down (unless you shit standing up, which...is just impressive)

2/2 situations in which Women use the toilet require the seat to be down.

Therefore 3/4 times the toilet seat needs to be down.

edit: holy fuck people I’m not saying Men

And we are already off to a FLYING start.

why yes we do

Good god, if Kotaku took over Jez today and their commenters followed them, it’d be a fucking bloodbath.

I think she means she’s found a kindred spirit in her modem and no longer feels the need to knit sweaters for people she’ll never meet.

Levar Burton and Alan Tudyk ———all feels

@Guillermo: One of the worst feelings is when you’re the one who picked the movie and everybody is obviously hating it. Sighing and squirming and giving you in the dark side eye.

I have four parents (divorce + remarriage = 4 parents) who are teachers, I feel this so much. I spent so many weekends at school with them because my parents needed to go in and do something, grade, lesson plans, lab prep, school plays, sports coaching, concerts, etc and there wasn’t childcare on the weekend. This is true. 100% of us don’t make what we should. (99% make too little, 1% makes too much).

But most other jobs hours aren’t off book as much and publicly funded. If I complain about mine as a software developer people at leas believe me on the time I spend working and they aren’t usually the ones paying my salary.

Could not be more true. It’s infuriating, the way we’ve seemingly come to accept that working full time at the going rate for certain jobs will barely cover rent alone. We’ve accepted that if you work in certain fields, you don’t deserve a decent quality of life.

She may not have grand meal seizures very often, in which case getting a service dog would be difficult. Mine were mostly petit mal and not hugely disruptive, but then every once in a while...yikes. I have an aunt who was seizure free for 20 years and then suddenly had a big seizure in a parking lot.

Entitlement, for sure. But I think he was a scholarship student from a “modest background”.

Uhh..
