Occam’s razor here has me thinking this could be a classic “wrong pedal” scenario.

This is Jalopnik, don’t bring facts or logic into the discussion. Capitalism, investors, and the stock market are bad. Period.

4th: Pretty dubious of the sudden acceleration claim. Teslas are far from perfect but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one accelerating at random, especially while the driver is attempting to brake. If anything, you mostly hear about them stopping suddenly when it sees a shadow it doesn’t like.

They’re popping up here around the SF Bay Area too. They actually look pretty decent in person, and I have yet to see one in black, white, or grey.

It’s shocking (EV humor intended) Toyota is so far behind at this point that they have to result to Volkswagen-style dog and pony shows. I do give them credit for showing actual cars instead of their Photoshop talents even though we’d be lucky if more than one of them made it to that stage under it’s own power.

Maybe its just me... but Toyota more or less doing the equivalent of “blowing its load” by showing a whole shit ton of EV’s was not the best plan. A lot of those car will probably never come close to production. Overall its sort of confusing and makes me not really care.

We have a 2019 - I agree with most of your point except the seats - ours are up there with my previous Saabs for most comfortable seats.

and they’ve shown absolutely no effort to improve

I’m not necessarily defending Tesla here, but the quality control and fit & finish of just about every auto has gone into the toilet for this year. Just like new home builds. Just like most consumer electronics. Just like most restaurant quality control. Just like….

I’ve always side eyed Big Red since the debacle with the OU Football players years ago where they were paying several players who didn’t actually work there

This is the same group that got into trouble for hiring a bunch of football players from the University of Oklahoma to “work” no-show jobs in the pre-NIL days of the early 2000s. Ended up with the Sooners’ starting QB at the time getting kicked off the team.

Yeah the Kia dealership in my town is well known for its shady as fuck tactics.  My boss went there and the salesman even gave him the old ‘I’m on the edge here I really need to make a sale or my boss might fire me!’ routine.

I worked here.

There are two things in that video: 1. Michael being a totally reasonable human being just like he’s always been and giving a properly balanced impression of FSD as it is today; 2. CNN video editor making the segment look like a complete joke by splicing together every single “whoa” Michael uttered to create the

The main reason he quit Tesla in 2012, Mr. Rawlinson said, was to care for his ailing mother in Wales. But he added that he had also felt mistreated by Mr. Musk. “I had a mom who needed me, and I had a boss who wasn’t treating me very well,” he said, declining to elaborate on the nature of the mistreatment.

Yeah guys. Come on, lets all root for the guy selling cars at 3x the national average. You know the normal guy.  Lets go. Work harder so we can make the rich guy richer than the other rich guy who sends mean tweets. Come on guys.

True story.

Are they still setting the world on fire?

Good for Tesla . Don’t like it then don’t buy it .
