The Mustang already sells in India; it’s Ford’s flagship. They import around 250 manual V8s each year and sell them at around 90000 dollars on road. Their restructuring to a low volume import brand will likely see them sell the iconic Endeavor (around 28-35000 dollars) as a base model (importing 3-6000 a year), a

We bought my wife’s old Town & Country during Cash for Clunkers. There were very few cars in inventory at that point. The dealer we went to had two minivans, the “loaded” one we bought, and another one that was more rental spec. With the powered sliding doors, tons of electronic gizmos to inevitably break, we opted

“What’s The Most Outrageous Incentive Automakers And Dealerships Have Used To Sell Cars?”

Small Michigan town Big Rapids Ford dealer offered a chainsaw to anyone who bought a truck. Very fitting for the area

Anyway, that’s not what this little article is about. This article is a “Question of the Day.” It’s basically an easy way for Jalopnik to increase reader engagement and get two free posts per day — one question and one that basically lists your answers in slideshow form. That lifetime warranty thing does wonders for those who actually like those Daimler disasters.

The transformation will be complete.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. No dealer is going to offer a deal that doesn’t make himself money in the long run.

He needs to buy a cowboy hat first and make sure he gets a cheeseburger at McDonald’s afterwards

This. And the one I read said it would pay only to replace individual, internal parts inside said assemblies but not the labor to do so. W....T....F....

The worst I’ve seen sounded the same, but was a scam. It’s done at a chain of St Louis Dealerships. They have a lifetime powertrain warranty on used cars they sell.

We get one pageview per slide, so this helps us really crank up our metrics, which means more ad sales, which means more money.

That Aussie guy moving here with his family in the WCSIB needs to head to a dealership with a similar deal, he’ll be 100% American in one stop.

The worse bits are fake salaries that a lot of the trucking companies are posting.  They will advertise $90k but in the fine print say that you have to cover fuel and maintenance and that brings you right back to $40k

I’m up for the ID Buzz.  You know, the electric VW bus.  But I’ll take mine painted like the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.

At $40k? I bet you could make that working FT at Starbucks.

2nd Gear: This is a stupid ‘solution’ to the problem of there not being enough drivers. The REAL solution is better pay, better benefits and better hours.

2nd gear: that salary is telling if true. My father was a long haul driver in his younger years, and was paid very well for it at the time. It was a little weird though - his company paid well, but had shit trucks. Other companies would have beautiful new trucks, but paid 1/3 of what my father made per KM. Either
