Overall, I would be concerned about the sheer number of times that the motor was revved when it was cold. But with how much power and torque this car has, that’s probably pretty darn hard to do inside of any crowded city. A lot of people could probably get all the thrill they need without ever going over 4k rpm.

Not specific to the turbo (and I’m sure I could just look this up on a 911 forum), but how tall can the tiny humans be and still fit in the back seat safely/comfortably?

It wouldn’t shock me if it turns out we’ve hit “peak oil demand” in the US. With cars getting more and more efficient and commute travel likely to be permanently altered to the downside, I think it has to be a possibility. The rest of the world on the other hand... well, I have no idea. I think the range of outcomes

Cool project! Bummer that it didn’t fit the tires, but I would have been surprised if it did. For something easy and simple, and not at all cool, but extremely useful and practical; bikesdirect has a flat bar bike with hydraulic disc, 42mm tires, and Sram 1x11, for $600. I was a bit shocked to see something like that

The world sure has changed a lot for me to suddenly find myself agreeing with Musk on something.

I had recommended these recently to my sister-in-law, who was looking for a 3 row SUV. That was until I ran the TCO on these with very little discount. It was quite bad compared to the competition.

I generally like where Ford is headed and the vehicles they are currently making (we just bought a new Edge, and it is a fantastic vehicle). But if I was Ford, I’d start by taking Elon out to dinner to try to convince him to strike a deal to license some, all, or any of his EV tech. At the very least, something that

Alright, I can’t believe I’m actually taking any position in defense of Musk, but... he’s not the one that is blindly bidding up the stock to an incredibly high valuation. And, he hasn’t even been doing any of his normal shenanigans lately to attempt to artificially increase the stock price.

Any and all S14's in green are NP. Always and forever.

On the other side of the equation, people borrowing money to buy things they can’t afford helps support the consumer economy we live in, which lifts the quality and standard of living for everyone. Credit is an amazing thing, and it has helped build this incredible society we live in. I just think we need better

It’s definitely been tightening even with interest rates going to zero. The Law of the Pendulum would certainly help explain why negative rates never really worked for other developed countries. The effect of all the stimulus on credit will be interesting. I’m not sure credit will flip right back or not, but I think,

Why is this Bradley Brownell guy not banned yet?

Simplified version:
When borrowing is so cheap, having lots of cash on hand is actually an enormous detriment. When you can borrow the money you need exremely cheap (and use your cash for things like share buybacks), it makes little sense to keep too much cash on hand. In general, leverage is an incredible tool for

Best comment yet. While sport bikes might not have taken off, 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, jet skis and the like could have been huge.

Is it possible we’ll ever get a sporty “coupe” or wagon with just one giant sliding door for both the front and rear passengers?

I’m not certain proof is needed when ranting about something that is widely considered “common knowledge”. I would consider proof generally necessary when trying to convince people that our previously held “common knowledge” is incorrect or outdated.

Gas has already dropped under $2/gallon here in CO and it’s going much lower as it plays catch up with the dip (for those that are interested, this is actually the time when the gas stations themselves make most of their money as they slowly lower the prices to match each other while their input cost significantly

It’s not “asinine”. It’s technology. The computer needs to know how new the battery is so that it can properly estimate how to charge it. I would guess it’s quite common on newer vehicles and I would be surprised if any other manufacturer let you update the computer with a new battery yourself (otherwise people might
